Job description

We're looking for an experienced SEO professional with a strong background in technical SEO, content strategy, and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO). You have owned an organic search roadmap end to end and are ready to build and lead a growing search function and team.

About Viva Talent

Viva Talent connects US companies with exceptional Executive Assistants and opens meaningful, career-defining work for talented people across Latin America. We're a globally distributed team of 200+ members across 15+ countries and 3 continents, on a mission to expand real opportunity for women in LatAm. The model works; now we're building the engine to scale it.

Why this role exists

This is a build-and-lead role: you’ll own SEO and AEO hands-on while building, managing, and developing the team that supports the work.

Viva’s organic search efforts are already in motion, but we need a dedicated in-house owner to assess what’s working, turn the current foundation into a clear and measurable SEO and AEO growth program, and lead the team delivering it. You’ll set priorities, improve how the team works, and adapt our strategy as AI-powered search reshapes how buyers find companies like ours. Since we haven’t started on AEO, you’ll also build this capability from the ground up.

What you'll do

  1. Own the SEO + AEO roadmap. Priorities, timelines, KPIs. Take over what's already running, improve the processes, and drive it forward day to day.

  2. Build the content strategy. Keyword research, topic clustering, editorial briefs, and prioritization that ties organic content to business goals.

  3. Run technical SEO. Site architecture, crawl optimization, Core Web Vitals, schema markup, and indexation.

  4. Build our AEO strategy. Improve how Viva is understood, cited, and surfaced across AI search experiences such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, and Claude.

  5. Lead and develop the SEO team. Set priorities, clarify ownership, coach team members, review work, and build a high-performing SEO function.

Who you are

  1. 3-5+ years of experience as an SEO Manager with hands-on experience across technical SEO and content SEO, not just strategy or reporting.

  2. 5–8+ years of professional SEO experience.

  3. You've owned an SEO roadmap end to end. Prioritization, execution, reporting, and iteration, not just executing under someone else's direction.

  4. You have hands-on experience with AEO and/or GEO and understand how AI is changing search.

  5. You have hands-on experience using AirOps or a similar tool as part of your SEO or content workflow.

  6. Technical SEO proficiency: site architecture, crawl optimization, indexation, Core Web Vitals, and schema markup.

  7. Content strategy experience: keyword research, topic clustering, editorial prioritization, and content briefs.

  8. Experience managing and developing an SEO team. You have set priorities, delegated work, coached team members, reviewed output, and held people accountable for results.

  9. Data-driven reporting: you can connect organic performance to business outcomes, explain the story behind the numbers, and recommend what to do next.

The details

  1. Location: Remote, based in Argentina, Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Colombia, Ecuador, or Mexico.

  2. Reports to: Head of Marketing.

  3. Compensation: Competitive and benchmarked to the LATAM SEO and digital marketing manager market. The final range will be confirmed during intake and reviewed every six months.

Why you'll want this

We invest heavily in our people through:

  1. 100% remote work, forever

  2. Competitive compensation with reviews every six months and performance bonuses.

  3. Comprehensive global health insurance, including medical, dental, vision, mental health, and routine care.

  4. Paid holidays, vacation, sick leave, and family care days.

  5. Family-friendly policies, including parental leave and flexible support.

  6. A culture centered around growth, ownership, well-being, and continuous learning.

With a 4.7/5 Glassdoor rating, we're proud of the experience we create for both our candidates and our team.
