Senior DevOps (Typescript/Javascript) Engineer

Ciklum is looking for a Senior DevOps (Typescript/Javascript) Engineer to join our team full-time in the Czech Republic.

About the role:

As a Senior DevOps (Typescript/Javascript) Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow.

You will join the Manufacturing Digital Platform team to drive the evolution of a business-critical global solution: the Labeling Platform. This platform enables standardized, scalable, and reliable printing capabilities across manufacturing sites worldwide. As part of a highly skilled, globally distributed engineering team, you will contribute to both the ongoing operation and future development of a platform that supports manufacturing processes at a massive scale. We are looking for an experienced professional who thrives in complex production environments and brings a strong platform engineering mindset. Security, scalability, reliability, and operational excellence must be at the core of everything you build. This role offers significant variety. On any given day, you may be working on backend development, cloud infrastructure, platform operations, architecture discussions, troubleshooting production issues, or enabling new business capabilities. You will act as a pragmatic engineer combining technical depth with a product mindset, partnering with stakeholders to deliver reliable solutions that create global value.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain highly available backend services and cloud-native infrastructure
• Drive continuous platform improvements to enhance scalability, resilience, and overall operational efficiency
• Support and onboard new manufacturing use cases and business stakeholders globally
• Improve observability, monitoring, alerting, and incident response capabilities
• Contribute heavily to infrastructure automation and platform standardization initiatives across the enterprise
• Collaborate closely with fellow engineers, architects, product stakeholders, and external partners to deliver value
• Champion software engineering best practices, quality standards, and architectural excellence within the team
• Mentor team members, elevate others, and contribute to a strong culture of learning, ownership, and continuous improvements

Requirements:

We know that sometimes, you can’t tick every box. We would still love to hear from you if you think you’re a good fit! 

• 6+ years of engineering experience (ideally 8-10 years) with a strong platform and product mindset
• Strong hands-on experience developing backend solutions using TypeScript
• Solid practical experience with cloud-native infrastructure and operating systems in production environments
• Proven experience designing and implementing asynchronous, event-driven architectures
• Strong, practical knowledge of Kubernetes and managing containerized workloads
• Passion for software engineering best practices, architectural excellence, and platform thinking
• Proven ability to operate independently, take ownership of technical challenges, and solve complex operational issues
• Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills with a proactive, mentoring mindset
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD automation (GitHub Actions preferred) and Infrastructure as Code (specifically Terraform)
• Experience with modern observability, monitoring, and alerting platforms
• Experience with platform engineering and large-scale enterprise solutions
