Senior DevOps Engineer

Ciklum is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team full-time in the Czech Republic.

About the role:

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow.

This role gives an exciting opportunity to join a platform team and influences how IT technology can innovate our factory floor area and take it to the next level of automation, optimization, reliability, and usability. 

Project is of Danish client regarding manufacturing.

Responsibilities: 

• Support in setting the newest and most up-to-date DevOps system
• Support the development, operation, and maintenance of the automated logistics platform.
• Be able to spar and co-create with the existing team 

Requirements:

• Background in software development 
• Real world experience in:
  • Observability & Monitoring: Tracking system health through metrics, logs, and traces using Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
  • Containerization & Orchestration: Packaging applications with Docker and scaling clusters using Kubernetes or Helm.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Provisioning and managing infrastructure reproducibly
  • CI/CD Pipelines: Automating testing, building, and deployment using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Argo CD.
  • Experience with GitOps
  • Networking & Security
• Real world experience in Application development (e.g. frontend/backend/automation testing), hands on experience is a requirement 
• We are looking for a 70% DevOps developer with 30% application developer skill set 
• Experience with setting and building DevOps automation including – automated release gates, test automation, service provisioning automation
• Team player with good communication skills, both with peers and stakeholders. 
• Passion for helping and mentoring others. 
• Expect that assignments from the backlog are taken on own initiative not given. 
• Ability to Drive improvements and coordinate efforts
• Good documenting skills – A willingness and wish for documenting solutions and architecture (balance is key) 

 Desirable:

• Knowledgeable about logistics and AGVs 
• Systems architecture and design – Specifically event driven systems. 
• Natural facilitator 
• Practitioner of the boy scout principle.
