Artemis is seeking a Technical Writer/Editor – Sr. to support the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Center for Care and Payment Innovation (CCPI) CCPI Data Analytics Support Services contract by developing, editing, and maintaining technical, operational, and programmatic documentation. This role produces and refines deliverables such as progress reports, standard operating procedures (SOPs), business requirements documentation, and evaluation and lessons-learned materials, ensuring clarity, consistency, and quality across all CCPI analytics work products.

The Technical Writer/Editor – Sr. role requires a self-starter, proactive problem solver and action-oriented team player with previous experience in technical writing, editing, and documentation development, ideally within federal consulting or healthcare-related programs. This position needs an individual that is committed to providing superior service, poised under pressure and has a positive and flexible attitude.

This is a contingent hire position.

Remote work is anticipated. However, occasional travel for client engagements may be required.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Develop, edit, and maintain technical, operational, and analytic documentation, including SOPs, process documentation, and reference materials supporting CCPI analytics operations.
  • Draft, edit, and quality-review Progress Reports, the Project Management Plan (PMP), and other required contract deliverables prior to submission to the Government.
  • Support documentation of business requirements, analytic rules, and data mapping in collaboration with data analysts, engineers, and Government stakeholders.
  • Develop and edit lessons-learned, knowledge transfer, and pilot transition documentation supporting CCPI pilot operationalization and maturity.
  • Review and edit deliverables and work products across task areas (cloud/platform operations, data analytics and reporting, data architecture, and delivery coordination) for clarity, consistency, and compliance with Government requirements.
  • Support development of kickoff meeting agendas, meeting minutes, and other coordination materials for recurring stakeholder engagements.
  • Establish and maintain documentation standards, templates, and style consistency across CCPI deliverables.
  • Coordinate with the Program Manager and technical staff to ensure deliverables meet Government quality and timeliness standards under the Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan (QASP).
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, journalism, technical writing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 8+ years of experience in technical writing, editing, or documentation development, preferably supporting federal or healthcare-related programs.
  • Demonstrated experience producing and editing deliverables such as progress reports, SOPs, project management plans, or similar programmatic documentation.
  • Strong command of grammar, style, and technical accuracy across complex subject matter.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical and time management skills.
  • Proven ability to organize, prioritize, and work well with others.
  • Ability to communicate thoughts, ideas, and solutions logically both written and orally.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to receive feedback from clients and implement changes quickly and effectively.
  • Ability to get up to speed quickly on complex issues.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment.
