Requisition ID: 2026-4662 Job Summary:

Artemis is seeking a part-time Communications Product Specialist to support the Veterans Health Administration’s (VHA) Testosterone Screening and Treatment Expansion Program. This role creates newsletters, fact sheets, presentations, and other program communications materials that are clear, accurate, and compliant with VA style and accessibility standards. This is a part-time position.

The Communications Product Specialist – Senior role requires a self-starter, proactive problem solver and action-oriented team player with previous experience in strategic communications and marketing within federal or healthcare organizations. This position needs an individual that is committed to providing superior service, poised under pressure and has a positive and flexible attitude.

This is a contingent hire position. Offers will be contingent upon client approval and the ability to meet security requirements.

Remote work is anticipated. However, occasional travel for client engagements may be required.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain communications artifacts, including newsletters, annual reports, fact sheets, and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), for testosterone screening and treatment expansion programs and initiatives.
  • Develop and execute internal and external communication plans in accordance with the VA Style Guide and Section 508 accessibility compliance standards.
  • Draft and edit executive-level status reports, presentations, memorandums, and other leadership-facing communications materials.
  • Support content development and maintenance for VA SharePoint sites, Teams channels, and VA Intranet/Internet websites.
  • Support development of policies, directives, standard operating procedures, templates, and standards of work related to program communications.
  • Organize and facilitate working sessions and stakeholder meetings, managing agendas and follow-up communications.
  • Translate complex program and clinical information into clear, audience-appropriate written content for Veteran, clinical, and stakeholder audiences.
  • Support business plans, funding requests, and correspondence for program initiatives, as needed.
  • Coordinate with program and project management staff to align communications products with program milestones and reporting cycles.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 8 years of experience in strategic communications, marketing, or a related field, preferably supporting federal health agency initiatives.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Experience developing communications materials (e.g., newsletters, fact sheets, FAQs, presentations) for federal or healthcare audiences.
  • Familiarity with the VA Style Guide and Section 508 accessibility compliance standards preferred.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a forward-looking approach to marketing trends and technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines.
  • Experience supporting complex projects and transformation efforts within the federal government.
  • Comfortability with supporting complex client relationships.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
