Job description

The Salesforce Administrator keeps our Salesforce instance running well and makes it better. You will own day to day administration, build automation using Salesforce's declarative tools, and work directly with sales, service, and marketing teams to turn what they need into working configuration. This is a hands on configuration role. You will be the person who understands how the business uses Salesforce and shapes the platform around that.

This position is remotely based in the UK only. We are unable to offer work sponsorship for this role.

Who we are:

Buyers Edge Platform stands at the forefront of revolutionizing the food service industry through technology, purchasing power and partnerships. We are dedicated to empowering stakeholders across the entire food service ecosystem (operators, distributors, manufacturers) with efficiency and unprecedented visibility. With a diverse portfolio of over a dozen brands, our mission is clear: to reduce costs, streamline the foodservice supply chain, and propel the industry from manual to automated.

Today, we are one of the largest players in food service, with over 200K operator locations across North America and Europe and over $50 billion of aggregated spend volume. Our commitment to food service excellence is proven in four distinct areas of value: Digital Procurement Network, Fresh Solutions, Supply Chain Management, and Software. Buyers Edge Platform is not just a provider – we are a strategic partner on the journey towards a more efficient, connected, and automated future for the foodservice industry

Your impact:

  • Administer Salesforce day to day: user setup, profiles, roles, permission sets, and licence management.
  • Configure the platform using declarative tools: custom fields and objects, validation rules, page layouts, record types, and Flow.
  • Build and maintain reports and dashboards that give teams answers without asking you first.
  • Gather requirements from sales, service, and marketing stakeholders, and translate them into configuration that works.
  • Own data quality: deduplication, imports and exports with Data Loader, and keeping records clean as the business grows.
  • Install, configure, and support AppExchange packages and third party tools connected to Salesforce.
  • Manage releases through sandboxes, document changes for QA, and support user acceptance testing.
  • Write and maintain documentation so the org stays understandable to the next person.
  • Train users and support adoption across teams.

About you:

  • Salesforce Certified Administrator.
  • 2 to 4 years as a Salesforce Administrator. Hands on ownership of an org, not just ticket support.
  • Sales Cloud and Service Cloud. Working knowledge of both.
  • Comfortable building and troubleshooting multi step automation.
  • Data handling. Confident with Data Loader and with cleaning and preparing data for import.
  • Reports and dashboards. Able to build these without help.
  • Communication. Can explain technical constraints to people who are not technical, and can push back on a request that will create problems later.
  •  Documentation. You write things down.
  • UK work authorization. We cannot sponsor for this role.
  • Nice to have:
    • Salesforce Platform Administrator II certification, previously called Advanced Administrator.
    • Experience in a business that has grown through acquisition, where multiple systems or orgs had to be brought together.
    • Exposure to document generation or contract tools such as Conga.
    • Experience supporting a business that sells through both direct and partner channels.
    • Experience working with an offshore or distributed development team.
