Job Description

Help injured clients keep more of their settlement.

The Ward Law Group is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Reductions Specialist to negotiate medical balances and help move settled cases toward disbursement. If you enjoy negotiation, take ownership of your files, and know how to keep a high-volume caseload moving, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference for clients.

What You’ll Do

  • Negotiate hospital liens and medical provider balances under attorney supervision and firm procedures.
  • Review medical bills, verify outstanding balances, and obtain supporting documentation.
  • Submit reduction requests, follow up consistently, and obtain written confirmation of negotiated agreements.
  • Maintain accurate records of balances, negotiations, agreements, and case status in Litify.
  • Coordinate with attorneys and closing staff to resolve outstanding items and prepare files for settlement disbursement.
  • Meet expectations for negotiated reductions, turnaround times, productivity, and accuracy.
  • Refer legal questions and disputed liens requiring legal analysis to the appropriate attorney.

What You Bring

  • At least two years of hands-on plaintiff personal injury reductions experience supporting a U.S. law firm.
  • Direct experience negotiating with hospitals and medical providers, with the ability to explain your strategies and results.
  • Experience independently managing a high-volume reductions caseload from balance verification through written agreements and closing coordination.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with legal case management software and the ability to work independently in a remote environment; Litify experience preferred.

Remote Engagement Details

  • Independent contractor remote position 
  • 40-hour workweek; schedule confirmed during the interview process.
  • Reliable internet, a computer, and a quiet, professional workspace required.
  • No employee benefits or paid time off.

Qualifications

  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
  • Minimum 2 year of recent personal injury reductions, liens, or medical bill negotiation experience.
  • Experience handling hospital reductions and negotiating directly with medical providers and collection entities.
  • Experience working in a plaintiff personal injury law firm; Litify experience preferred.
