Job description

About the Role

We are pioneering the future of voice automation quality engineering by building a platform that tests Generative AI-based Interactive Voice Response (IVR) systems through real, automated phone calls. As enterprise voice applications rapidly evolve, delivering an intuitive, sophisticated, and seamless user interface for complex AI evaluation workflows is core to our product vision.

We are seeking a visionary Principal/Lead UI/UX Designer to establish the design strategy, set the UX vision, and lead our team of UI/UX designers. Sitting at the intersection of enterprise software, data visualization, and conversational AI engineering, you will shape how users interact with complex AI analytics, testing pipelines, and voice infrastructure monitoring. You will empower your team, elevate our design culture, and partner closely with Product and Engineering leadership to deliver world-class user experiences across our entire platform.

Key Responsibilities

UX Vision & Design Strategy

  • Define and champion the overall UX/UI vision, design strategy, and user-centered design principles across Company's enterprise platform.

  • Translate complex Generative AI evaluation metrics, test execution workflows, and telephony analytics into clear, intuitive, and accessible user interfaces.

  • Establish design frameworks, quality standards, and governance to ensure consistency, scalability, and design excellence across all product lines.

Team Leadership & Mentorship

  • Lead, mentor, and empower a team of UI/UX designers, fostering a culture of creative innovation, continuous feedback, and user empathy.

  • Manage design resources, project allocation, and design delivery schedules in alignment with product engineering roadmaps.

  • Drive regular design critiques, research reviews, and collaborative workshops to elevate the team's craft and execution.

Design Systems & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Oversee the evolution and governance of Klearcom’s enterprise Design System, ensuring seamless handoffs, component reuse, and consistency across platforms.

  • Partner closely with Product Management (Senior/Principal PMs) and Engineering leads to align user experience with technical feasibility and business goals.

  • Direct qualitative and quantitative user research, usability testing, and customer feedback programs to validate design concepts and drive continuous UI refinement.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 7+ years of UI/UX design experience in complex enterprise SaaS, B2B software, or deep-tech platforms, with at least 2+ years leading or managing design teams.

  • Portfolio Excellence: A comprehensive portfolio demonstrating strategic UX vision, design system leadership, complex data visualization, and end-to-end user-centered design processes.

  • Leadership & Coaching: Proven track record of guiding, mentoring, and inspiring designers, running effective design reviews, and driving design operations.

  • Design Systems & Tools: Expert-level mastery of industry-standard design tools (Figma, FigJam) and deep experience building and maintaining component-based Design Systems.

  • Technical & Research Aptitude: Skilled in user research methodologies, prototyping, usability testing, and working alongside frontend engineering teams (React/modern JS frameworks).

  • Communication: Outstanding articulation skills; ability to pitch UX concepts and present design vision confidently to executive leadership and key enterprise clients.

  • Collaboration: Experience working in globally distributed teams across multiple time zones.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing interfaces for AI/ML tools, analytics dashboards, data-dense applications, or conversational AI/voice platforms.

  • Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and internationalization in SaaS environments.

  • Familiarity with design sprint methodologies and product-led growth (PLG) strategies.

  • Degree in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Graphic Design, or a related field.
