Job description

About Private Health Management

Private Health Management guides patients and families through the chaos and complexity of serious medical care, for cancer and beyond. As an independent advocate and trusted partner during healthcare's most challenging moments, our team of experts works alongside physicians to orchestrate the best treatment, advocacy, and support to deliver measurably better outcomes.

Everyone deserves great care. We make sure they get it.

About the role

As a Provider Network Specialist at PHM, you will play a critical role in expanding and strengthening the network of healthcare providers that enable our clients to access exceptional medical care. Sitting at the intersection of healthcare research, provider relationships, and technology, this role directly supports PHM’s mission to bring clarity and confidence to complex medical decisions.

You will research, evaluate, and recommend top-tier providers while helping evolve the systems and processes that support PHM’s proprietary provider intelligence. As PHM continues to scale and invest in technology-enabled workflows, you’ll contribute ideas and execution that improve efficiency, accuracy, and access across the organization.

This role is ideal for someone who is intellectually curious, highly organized, comfortable navigating complexity, and excited to use technology to improve how healthcare access works at scale.

What You’ll Accomplish

  • Build and maintain PHM’s proprietary database of elite healthcare providers, ensuring depth, accuracy, and clinical relevance
  • Expand PHM’s provider network through thoughtful research, evaluation, and relationship development
  • Support the implementation of technology-enabled processes that streamline provider management, insurance verification, and patient access
  • Conduct thorough reviews of provider credentials and healthcare programs using PHM’s gold-standard evaluation criteria
  • Partner closely with clinical, research, and operations teams to translate provider insights into actionable recommendations that impact client outcomes

How You’ll Spend Your Days

  • Proactively researching and identifying high-quality providers across a range of medical specialties
  • Evaluating providers and programs in collaboration with clinical and research partners
  • Using and improving internal tools and workflows to enhance provider data quality and operational efficiency
  • Supporting cross-functional teams by ensuring provider intelligence is accessible, accurate, and actionable
  • Contributing ideas and process improvements as PHM continues to evolve and scale

What you bring to the table

  • Availability to work Pacific Time Zone (PST) or Mountain Time Zone (MST) business hours required
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across clinical, research, and operations teams
  • A solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity, solve complex problems, and continuously improve how work gets done
  • A strong affinity for technology and process optimization; you’re an early adopter who looks for smarter, more scalable ways to work
  • A self-starter approach with strong research and analytical skills, and the ability to synthesize information across medical specialties
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Prior provider-facing healthcare experience and/or a degree in a healthcare-related field strongly preferred
  • Experience conducting or administering academic and/or clinical research strongly preferred
  • Prior customer service, concierge, or client-relations experience is a plus
