The Senior Sales Analyst will provide in-depth analysis and support on National Accounts. Develop reporting systems and create new reports in addition to maintaining existing reports that monitor key metrics and provide actionable insights to the team.  Analyze data to provide insights and identify opportunities for improvement. Analyze retail pricing and provide recommendations for pricing actions that result in improvement in net collection or increased sales velocity.  Track and provide root cause analysis on the Monthly Damage Deductions from retailer, providing corrective actions to minimize company losses. Research Post Audit Claims from customers, eliminating unauthorized deductions.

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively conduct Assist with direct selling functions at Dollar/Military/Export HQ level to drive company sales.
  • Manage assigned brokers to execute company initiatives that deliver desired results.  
  • Provide analytical and sales support to the Dollar/Military/Export Sales Team.
  • Develop reporting systems and create new reports in addition to maintaining existing reports which monitor key metrics and provide actionable insights to the team.
  • Analyze data to provide insights and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure broker resources are suitable to deliver company objectives and conduct consistent broker reviews that provide areas of strength and constructive feedback.
  • Effectively utilize syndicated data to identify opportunities and provide management with post analysis results.
  • Interface with Marketing and Sales Management to identify opportunities and develop regional initiatives.
  • Create and provide canned and ADHOC sales reporting as business dictates.
  • Provide retail pricing analysis of competitive items at retailer and in the remaining market with recommendations for pricing action.
  • Maintain internal price list information for retailer.
  • Create and maintain reports dictated by current business needs.
  • Utilize Nielsen tools and the Category team when researching sales and retail changes.

Experience, Skills, Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 3+ years of relevant analytical and/or customer facing sales experience required.
  • Thorough understanding of retail/grocery.
  • Experience working with regional grocery chains, preferred.
  • Expertise in broker management and motivational techniques.
  • Knowledge of national account policies, strategies, operating procedures.
  • Technology and grasp to evaluate sales performance levels, profitability, etc.
  • Complete understanding of syndicated data information sources, i.e. AC Nielsen.
  • Administrative, organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop, implement and measure sales generating programs.
  • Ability to develop effective selling techniques;
  • Influencing and communication skills;
  • Learning of organizational, planning, negotiation and problem solving skills.
  • Development of analytical skills to understand trends and make recommendations.
  • Strong technical skills such as Microsoft suite: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Trade Planning Management system experience, highly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Financial and Business Acumen;   Understanding of portfolio of brands.
  • Forms relationships at various levels/functions within customer organizations.
  • Builds and delivers solutions that meet customer expectations and value to B&G which are in alignment with our core strategy.
  • Leverages knowledge of brokers to develop successful, outside the box retail campaigns that deliver measurable results.

Compensation:

Base Pay Range:

$89,100-$118,800

Final base pay will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to; role responsibilities, experience, skills, education, geographic location, and/or internal pay equity. Please keep in mind that we consider internal pay equity and hiring at the maximum of the salary range uncommon.
