Job description

This is a remote position.

We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Business Partner to lead high-quality, commercially focused end-to-end recruitment and act as a strategic recruitment partner to business leaders. The role combines hands-on recruitment delivery with workforce planning, talent pipelining, market insight, stakeholder management, and continuous improvement.

You will manage complex and business-critical hiring, advise stakeholders on recruitment strategy and market conditions, build strong talent pipelines, and support the development of junior recruitment team members.

Your Duties

  • Partner with business leaders, hiring managers, and HR Business Partners to understand current and future hiring needs.
  • Develop proactive recruitment strategies aligned with workforce plans, business growth, and operational priorities.
  • Manage specialist, senior, complex, and business-critical vacancies from approval through to onboarding.
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment processes, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer management, negotiation, and pre-employment checks.
  • Develop sourcing strategies using direct search, headhunting, referrals, job advertising, networking, and talent pools.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines and communities for critical and hard-to-fill roles.
  • Engage passive candidates through proactive outreach and relationship management.
  • Provide expert advice on candidate availability, salary expectations, market conditions, and hiring strategy.
  • Challenge unclear requirements, delayed decisions, and recruitment risks while providing practical solutions.
  • Influence hiring managers on effective interviewing, assessment, and evidence-based hiring decisions.
  • Monitor recruitment KPIs, including time-to-hire, cost per hire, source effectiveness, pipeline conversion, and vacancy ageing.
  • Prepare recruitment reports, dashboards, hiring forecasts, and market insights for stakeholders.
  • Use recruitment data and market intelligence to identify risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support role profiling, job evaluation, career frameworks, job families, and appropriate job titles.
  • Ensure recruitment processes comply with employment legislation, internal policies, GDPR, and relevant requirements.
  • Maintain accurate candidate records, approvals, interview documentation, and audit trails.
  • Identify opportunities to improve recruitment processes, efficiency, candidate experience, and hiring outcomes.
  • Champion the use of AI, automation, and digital recruitment tools.
  • Represent Talent Acquisition as a trusted partner to business leaders and stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior recruiters, support new starters, and share recruitment best practices.
  • Support wider People initiatives related to business growth, transformation, and organisational change.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in end-to-end recruitment or Talent Acquisition, preferably within high-volume, technical, operational, or complex recruitment environments.
  • Proven experience partnering with hiring managers, business leaders, and HR teams on workforce planning and recruitment strategy.
  • Strong experience managing specialist, senior, complex, or business-critical vacancies.
  • Advanced sourcing skills, including direct search, headhunting, market mapping, talent pipelining, and passive candidate engagement.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience using recruitment data, KPIs, reporting, and market intelligence to improve hiring outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of recruitment compliance, including employment legislation, right-to-work checks, GDPR, and internal recruitment policies.
  • Experience managing offers, salary negotiations, candidate objections, and competing opportunities.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple complex vacancies and priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent interviewing, candidate assessment, and selection skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance quality, speed, and cost.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving recruitment risks.
  • High attention to detail and strong commitment to governance and compliance.
  • Proficiency with ATS platforms, LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
  • Experience mentoring junior recruiters or supporting recruitment capability development.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Continuous improvement mindset and interest in AI, automation, and emerging recruitment technologies.
  • Strong awareness of current Talent Acquisition trends, sourcing techniques, tools, and market practices.
