Pay: $100,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year

Location

Fully remote from anywhere in New Jersey, with flexibility to reside outside New Jersey as long as you can easily travel to courts throughout the state when needed.

Must have an active New Jersey Bar admission in good standing and at least 1+ year of directly relevant family law or civil litigation experience.

Job Description

  • Manage your own family law, divorce, and civil litigation matters from strategy through resolution.
  • Handle matters involving equitable distribution, custody, support, and post-judgment enforcement.
  • Draft persuasive motions, certifications, settlement agreements, pleadings, and other legal documents.
  • Appear regularly in New Jersey trial and appellate courts and advocate for clients in substantive proceedings.
  • Counsel clients directly regarding legal strategy, case posture, negotiations, and litigation risks.
  • Develop case strategy and manage an active docket with significant independence.
  • Collaborate with colleagues while maintaining ownership of assigned matters.
  • Participate in sophisticated and potentially impactful litigation matters.
  • Continue developing your litigation skills through meaningful courtroom exposure, mentorship, and professional development.

Qualifications

  • Active New Jersey Bar admission in good standing.
  • 1+ year of family law or civil litigation experience.
  • Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Experience handling matters with meaningful responsibility and client interaction.
  • Ability to independently manage a caseload with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication, organization, responsiveness, and professional judgment.
  • Family law experience is strongly welcomed, but skilled civil litigators are encouraged to apply.
