Pay: $140,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year

Location

100% remote. Attorneys may work from anywhere in the U.S.; California bar admission is required. Office space is also available for attorneys who prefer to work in an office setting.

Candidates must have experience with long-term care insurance litigation, life insurance litigation, and insurance bad faith litigation, along with an active California bar license.

Job Description

  • Represent policyholders in insurance bad faith litigation involving long-term care and life insurance claims.
  • Develop litigation strategies tailored to the facts and legal issues of each case.
  • Handle matters through discovery, motion practice, negotiations, and litigation.
  • Analyze insurance policies, claims files, medical and financial records, and other complex evidence.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other litigation documents.
  • Take and defend depositions and participate in hearings, mediations, and other litigation proceedings as appropriate.
  • Communicate directly with clients and collaborate with attorneys and legal professionals throughout the life of a case.
  • Build compelling cases against insurers while advocating for policyholders' rights and benefits.

Qualifications

  • Active California bar license in good standing.
  • 1+ year of long-term care insurance litigation experience.
  • 1+ year of life insurance litigation experience.
  • 1+ year of insurance bad faith litigation experience.
  • Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and litigation skills.
  • Excellent communication and case-management abilities.
  • Candidates at any associate or attorney level are encouraged to apply.
  • In-house and solo practice backgrounds are welcome when the required litigation experience is present.
