Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Associate, Revenue Operations to support the Company’s revenue operations and accounting activities. This role is responsible for client invoicing, revenue recognition, accounts receivable, expense report review, deferred revenue and work-in-process (WIP) reconciliations, and supporting the monthly close and audit processes. The Senior Associate will partner with Project Managers and business leaders to resolve billing, contract, and revenue recognition issues while helping identify opportunities to streamline and automate processes.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the monthly client invoicing process, ensuring invoices are accurate, timely, and compliant with contract terms.

  • Perform revenue recognition activities in accordance with company policy and applicable accounting standards.

  • Review and approve employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and client requirements.

  • Monitor accounts receivable, partner with business leaders on collections, and help reduce outstanding balances.

  • Reconcile deferred revenue, work in process (WIP), and related revenue accounts as part of the monthly close.

  • Partner with Project Managers and business leaders to resolve billing, contract, and revenue recognition issues.

  • Prepare and maintain revenue-related reconciliations, schedules, and supporting documentation.

  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing timely and accurate financial support.

  • Identify opportunities to automate and improve revenue, billing, and expense management processes.

  • Support ERP (Workday or similar) enhancements, testing, and continuous process improvements.

Qualifications and Desired Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • 3 - 5+ years of experience in revenue accounting, invoicing, accounts receivable, or project accounting.

  • Strong understanding of revenue recognition principles and financial reporting.

  • Experience with Workday Financials, PSA, or another ERP system preferred.

  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with financial reporting and data analysis.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.

  • Continuous improvement mindset with a passion for streamlining processes and leveraging technology.

Salary range: $73,000-$109,000, plus may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. The salary range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications, practice area, and other business and organizational needs. In addition, Chartis offers several benefits including medical, dental, vision, HSA, FSA, disability insurance, life insurance, 401(k) match, paid time off, wellness stipend, and additional voluntary benefits.
