Revolution Medicines is a global, commercial-state oncology company dedicated to discovering, developing and delivering innovative medicines for patients with RAS-addicted cancers. The Opportunity:

This is a unique executive leadership opportunity to establish and lead Revolution Medicines' presence in Australia. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, JPAC, the Vice President & General Manager, Australia will build operations from the ground up while shaping the company's long-term commercial strategy in Australia.

As a member of the JPAC leadership team, this leader will be responsible for developing the Australian business strategy, establishing a high-performing organization, preparing the market for multiple oncology launches, and ensuring patients gain timely access to innovative therapies.

Initially, the role will focus on establishing the Australian affiliate and creating scalable operating infrastructure to support the company’s growth and future commercialization in Australia.

Success in the Role

Within the first 24–36 months, the successful leader will:

  • Successfully establish Revolution Medicines' Australian affiliate and operational infrastructure.

  • Build and lead a high-performing multifunctional leadership team.

  • Develop and execute launch readiness strategies for the company's oncology portfolio.

  • Position Australia as a strategic contributor to global clinical development.

  • Secure optimal market access and reimbursement pathways for future products.

  • Establish strong partnerships with government agencies, key opinion leaders, patient organizations and healthcare institutions.

  • Build a culture that reflects Revolution Medicines' values of innovation, collaboration, integrity and patient focus.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Business Leadership

  • Serve as a core member of the JPAC Leadership Team, contributing to the global commercialization strategy and regional growth agenda.

  • Develop and execute the Australia business strategy aligned with global corporate objectives.

  • Build Revolution Medicines' long-term presence in Australia through sustainable commercial growth and organizational capability.

  • Lead strategic planning, portfolio prioritization and investment decisions for Australia.

  • Own the Australia P&L, ensuring disciplined financial management and effective resource allocation.

  • Identify emerging market opportunities, competitive dynamics and business risks while recommending appropriate strategic responses.

Affiliate Build & Organizational Leadership

  • Establish the Australian affiliate, including organizational design, governance, infrastructure and operational readiness.

  • Recruit, develop and retain a high-performing cross-functional leadership team.

  • Foster an inclusive, high-performance culture that reflects Revolution Medicines' mission and values.

  • Develop succession plans and leadership capability across the organization.

  • Promote collaboration across regional and global matrix teams.

  • Lead organizational change while maintaining employee engagement during rapid business growth.

Commercial Strategy & Launch Excellence

  • Develop comprehensive pre-launch and commercialization strategies across the Revolution Medicines portfolio.

  • Lead launch planning across Medical Affairs, Commercial, Market Access, Regulatory and Operations.

  • Ensure excellence in forecasting, portfolio planning, customer engagement and commercial execution.

  • Drive data-informed decision making and leverage digital engagement capabilities to enhance customer experience.

Market Access & Government Affairs

  • Develop integrated market access strategies that maximize patient access.

  • Lead engagement with the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), Pharmaceutical Benefits Advisory Committee (PBAC), Medical Services Advisory Committee (MSAC), and other relevant regulatory and reimbursement bodies.

  • Build strong relationships with Federal, State and Territory governments, policymakers and industry associations.

  • Partner with patient advocacy organizations and clinical societies to advance patient-centred healthcare policy.

  • Ensure health economics, evidence generation and reimbursement planning are integrated into product development and launch strategies.

Clinical Development & Medical Collaboration

  • Partner with Global Clinical Development and Medical Affairs to strengthen Australia's role in Revolution Medicines' global clinical programs.

  • Support investigator engagement, site selection and patient recruitment.

  • Build strategic relationships with leading oncology centres, cooperative clinical trial groups and academic institutions.

  • Ensure commercial insights inform lifecycle planning and future development priorities.

Governance, Risk & Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with all applicable regulatory, legal and corporate governance requirements.

  • Maintain the highest standards of business integrity and ethical conduct.

  • Lead enterprise risk management, business continuity planning and operational resilience.

  • Oversee contracts, third-party relationships and local fiduciary responsibilities.

Required Skills, Experience and Education:

  • Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration or a related discipline; MBA, PhD or PharmD preferred.

  • Significant senior leadership experience within the Australian biopharmaceutical industry.

  • Demonstrated success leading commercial organizations and managing P&L accountability.

  • Experience establishing, building or significantly scaling pharmaceutical affiliates.

  • Proven success leading oncology product launches, preferably within precision oncology.

  • Strong understanding of the Australian pharmaceutical environment, including reimbursement, market access and healthcare policy.

  • Demonstrated success influencing government stakeholders, regulators and external partners.

  • Experience leading multifunctional, matrixed organizations in a global environment.

  • Strong financial, strategic planning and organizational leadership capabilities.

  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement and executive influencing skills.

  • Fluency in English is required.

Preferred Skills:

  • Precision oncology and biomarker-driven medicine.

  • Early commercial planning within clinical-stage biotechnology companies.

  • Experience in high-growth or start-up biotechnology organizations.

  • International leadership experience.

  • This role requires regular domestic travel across Australia and international travel to Revolution Medicines' global offices.
