Position Summary

The Salesforce Product Owner & Administrator oversees the roadmap, enhancements, and operational management of the firm’s Salesforce platform and related enterprise applications. This role is responsible for ensuring the platform effectively supports end-to-end business processes across the firm.


This role will collaborate closely with senior leadership, finance, operations, sales, and external development partners to optimize processes, enhance user experience, and enable data-driven decisions across the organization.


This role requires regular interface with all levels of a professional service organization.

Responsibilities

Product Ownership

  • Own the Salesforce product roadmap and prioritized enhancement backlog
  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog, balancing business value, technical complexity, and organizational needs
  • Facilitate backlog grooming, prioritization, and release planning using Agile methodologies
  • Lead an enterprise applications Steering Committee to review priorities, guide governance, and align platform enhancements with the firm’s objectives
  • Ensure the platform effectively supports integrated processes spanning sales, operations, project delivery, and finance
  • Continuously evaluate new Salesforce capabilities, industry trends, and best practices to recommend strategic platform improvements

Administration

  • Manage day-to-day Salesforce administration, including users, permissions, security, and data integrity
  • Build and maintain scalable configuration such as flows, validation rules, custom objects, and Lightning features
  • Ensure proper documentation, testing, and change management for all platform updates
  • Maintain platform documentation, release notes, and configuration standards

Business Analysis & User Support

  • Partner with business stakeholders to translate needs into clear requirements, user stories, and process improvements
  • Lead process mapping and optimization efforts, identifying automation and efficiency opportunities across the business
  • Partner with teams across sales, operations, and finance to design and support end-to-end workflows within Salesforce and related applications
  • Provide training, troubleshooting, and support to enhance user adoption and platform effectiveness
  • Support reporting and dashboard needs, ensuring data accuracy and usability

Vendor Management

  • Coordinate and manage external developers and contractors
  • Define scopes of work, manage timelines, and ensure high-quality delivery aligned with platform standards
  • Review contractor-delivered configurations or code prior to deployment
  • Serve as the main point of contact for Salesforce support and third-party vendors
Requirements

Skills and Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of Salesforce experience across administration, product ownership, or business analysis roles
  • Strong expertise with Salesforce Lightning, flows, custom objects, validation rules, and security
  • Proven ability to manage a product backlog, Agile processes, and drive iterative delivery
  • Experience coordinating or managing external developers or partners
  • Solid understanding of data structures, data quality best practices, and reporting/dashboards
  • Experience with Certinia (PSA) or similar enterprise applications preferred
  • Experience supporting ERP systems and finance processes preferred
  • Familiarity with integrations, APIs, and broader enterprise systems preferred
  • Ability to translate business needs into clear requirements, user stories, and solutions
  • Strong process analysis and workflow optimization skills
  • Comfortable working with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Strong relationship-building and facilitation skills
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field and/or combination of required education and experience
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator required
  • Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator, Salesforce Certified Business Analyst, and additional Salesforce certifications preferred

The salary range for this position reflects our good-faith estimate of the minimum and maximum base pay for the role at the time of posting. The actual pay offered may vary based on factors such as the candidate’s skills, qualifications, experience, location, and market conditions. For example, a candidate with the minimum required experience and qualifications may receive an offer near the lower end of the range, while a candidate with extensive experience and specialized expertise may receive an offer near the top of the range. In addition to base salary, employees are eligible for performance bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.

Salary Description
$125,000 - $150,000
