Job description

Key Responsibilities

1. SAP Convergent Mediation Development

  • Design, develop, configure, and support SAP Convergent Mediation (CM) solutions and processing flows.
  • Develop and maintain mediation pipelines, processing workflows, and event-processing logic.
  • Develop data transformation, enrichment, routing, filtering, aggregation, and normalization processes.
  • Support enterprise event processing and billing data management operations.

2. Usage Data Processing & Transformation

  • Develop solutions to process and transform high-volume usage and event data from multiple source systems.
  • Implement event collection, usage normalization, data validation, error handling, and event enrichment.
  • Identify and handle duplicate, invalid, or incomplete usage records.
  • Ensure accurate and reliable event processing for downstream charging and billing systems.

3. Integration & Interface Development

  • Develop and support integrations between SAP Convergent Mediation and:
    • SAP Convergent Charging (CC)
    • SAP Convergent Invoicing (CI)
    • SAP FI-CA
    • SAP S/4HANA
    • CRM platforms
    • External event and network systems
  • Develop and support APIs, middleware integrations, file-based interfaces, and real-time event processing.
  • Work with integration architects and middleware teams to implement enterprise integration solutions.

4. Performance Optimization

  • Analyze and optimize mediation solutions for high-volume transactional environments.
  • Tune mediation pipelines, workflows, and processing engines for scalability and throughput.
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and system-processing issues.
  • Support capacity planning and scalability initiatives.

5. Technical Development & Automation

  • Develop custom scripts, automation routines, and technical enhancements to support mediation operations.
  • Perform Linux/Unix scripting and automation activities as required.
  • Optimize batch processing and operational workflows.
  • Ensure solutions comply with enterprise security and development standards.

6. Testing & Quality Assurance

  • Develop and execute unit, integration, performance, and UAT testing.
  • Validate mediation outputs, event-processing accuracy, and integration functionality.
  • Perform defect analysis, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
  • Support testing activities throughout development and deployment cycles.

7. Production Support & Operations

  • Monitor SAP Convergent Mediation environments and resolve production incidents.
  • Support deployments, maintenance activities, and go-live activities.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions.
  • Support operational reporting, monitoring, and reconciliation activities.

8. Documentation & Governance

  • Prepare and maintain:
    • Technical specifications
    • Mediation flow documentation
    • Integration diagrams
    • Operational procedures
    • Support runbooks
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise governance, security, and operational standards.
  • Support audit and compliance activities related to billing and usage processing.

9. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with SAP BRIM Architects, Convergent Charging Developers, Data Migration Teams, BASIS Administrators, Infrastructure Engineers, and Business Stakeholders.
  • Participate in architecture reviews, technical workshops, and Agile delivery activities.
  • Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to development and production support teams.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation and support of SAP BRIM solutions.
