The Senior Data center OEM Liaison & Technical Service Manager is responsible for developing technical relationship with target customers and partners, presenting Castrol’s technical offer and capabilities, and supporting  field-based technical service needs for data centers in Greater China region.

This role will work closely with the Data Centre Global Technology Manager, DC Greater China Business team, and the DC Global Technology team.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Build technical partnerships with key technical groups at target data center customers and partners to support business development; Provide technical guidance and support to sales teams and customers during the pre-sales process
  • Present technical data to Server OEMs, Hyperscalers, and System Integrators to support Castrol’s product approvals and validation. Work with internal teams to achieve agreed milestones as part of approval and validation process
  • Represent Castrol at Industry Conferences and Customer Events
  • Develop Castrol technology offers with internal technology and business team and strongly influence data center customers and partners
  • Provide insights and market trends to internal technology and business team for future fluid and offer development
  • Advanced application support to maintain excellent fluid performance
  • Resolves technical problems regarding fluid product performance in order to protect the company against unfounded litigation
  • Actively assist sales teams in resolving technical issues from the use of products in a timely manner to ensure the company reputation for quality is reinforced, visiting customers to resolve problems when required
  • Support technical knowledge empowerment to the field force through helping with the technical training to sales teams, customers and distributors related to product deployment and implementation
  • Responsible for the ownership of the technical service offer and implement the Ethics & Code of Conduct, HSSE policies and system that are introduced and ensure that the subordinate understands such policies and enforces them

Education & Experiences:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering including mechanical and electrical engineering, or related field
  • Several years of professional experience in a thermal fluid or data center industry including HVAC systems
  • Has experience in data center design and implementation with a focus on advanced liquid cooling
  • Knowledge of data center cooling systems and fluid monitoring
  • Experience with liquid and air-cooling technologies
  • Understanding of thermal management fluids for data center liquid cooling

Skills & competencies:

  • Proven leadership with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Ability to manage large, complex projects which need coordinating resources internally and externally
  • Customer driven mindset
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement innovative solutions
  • Demonstrated skills to develop and deliver effective presentations and proposals
  • Travels up to 50%

Up to 50% travel should be expected with this role
