Pay Range: $75-$80/hr. on w2 without benefits.
*Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.
Work Arrangement: Remote — Equipment will not be provided
Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior AI/ML Full Stack Engineer to design, develop, and implement production-grade AI and Generative AI solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong Python and SQL skills, hands-on experience developing LLM-powered applications, full-stack development expertise, and experience deploying AI/ML solutions in cloud environments.
The engineer will work closely with architects, product managers, data scientists, designers, and technical stakeholders to design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement AI/ML and Generative AI software solutions.
- Build production-grade LLM-powered applications, RAG pipelines, and AI agents.
- Work with LLMs, prompt engineering, embeddings, semantic search, query expansion, and citation generation.
- Develop and evaluate ML/NLP models and monitor their production performance.
- Implement LLM evaluation metrics including answer relevance, context relevance, faithfulness, hallucination reduction, and citation accuracy.
- Develop AI safety guardrails, content moderation, blocked-topic handling, escalation logic, and responsible AI controls.
- Build full-stack applications using modern frontend frameworks, backend services, REST APIs, authentication, and enterprise integrations.
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
- Use Git-based source control, automated testing, build/deployment pipelines, release management, and environment configuration.
- Develop and deploy containerized applications using Docker.
- Work with cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, GCP, or OCI.
- Integrate AI/ML services into enterprise applications through APIs.
- Implement production monitoring, logging, observability, troubleshooting, and application/model performance tracking.
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders and provide clear project/status updates.
- Help improve software development processes and mentor/guide software engineering team members.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical field.
- Master's degree or higher preferred.
- Strong Python programming and SQL experience.
- Hands-on experience building production Generative AI and LLM applications.
- Experience with RAG, embeddings, semantic search, prompt engineering, and LLM evaluation.
- Strong full-stack software development experience.
- Experience with frontend technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Experience with backend/server-side programming, particularly Python and/or Java, Ruby, or PHP.
- Experience with REST APIs and enterprise application integration.
- Experience with Docker/containerized application development.
- Experience with CI/CD, Git, automated testing, deployment, and release management.
- Experience with Azure, AWS, GCP, or OCI.
- Strong understanding of secure software development, data privacy, and enterprise application practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Experience
- Healthcare, clinical, claims, regulatory, life sciences, or enterprise data experience.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Vertex AI, AWS Bedrock, SageMaker, BigQuery, Snowflake, OpenSearch, Cloud Run, Airflow, Terraform, or comparable cloud/MLOps technologies.
- Experience with AI safety, responsible AI, model monitoring, and hallucination reduction.
