We are looking for an experienced Capital IT Project Manager to lead a GNWT capital IT initiative from initiation through closeout. The role requires strong project leadership, governance, scheduling, budget management, risk and issue control, vendor coordination, stakeholder engagement, implementation support, and transition planning.
The ideal candidate should have significant experience managing complex, large-budget IT projects, preferably in the public sector or government environment, with strong knowledge of enterprise systems, capital-funded projects, and formal project management practices. Proponents will be evaluated primarily on their qualifications and delivery approach, with cost also considered under GNWT procurement requirements.
The Project Manager will be responsible for leading work related to the 911 computer-aided dispatch application and the 911 phone systems. While these initiatives have been structured as two separate projects, they are closely connected in scope, stakeholders, timelines, and operational outcomes.
