Job description

Position Summary
Prometheus Federal Services (PFS) is a trusted partner of federal health agencies. We are exploring the addition of a future Healthcare Senior Consultant to support our clients in the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The selected candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary team focused on providing project management and support across mission-focused programs. Senior Consultants contribute to program planning and implementation, including landscape analyses, business cases, program design, implementation plans, change management plans, and communications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience conducting needs assessments, assisting with stakeholder meetings, organizing thoughts and ideas into briefing materials, and developing standard operating procedures, program checklists, and operations manuals. Applicants must be able to commute to VA’s DC offices as needed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Effectively support a wide range of stakeholders, including clinical and non-clinical staff from program coordinators to senior executives, to design clinical interventions.
  • Contribute to current-state analyses and create journey maps to illustrate future-state proposals.
  • Conduct industry research (primary and secondary) to understand leading clinical practices.
  • Assist in analyzing existing practices and making recommendations for process and program improvements.
  • Work independently and as part of a team in a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing environment, and remain flexible in response to changing organizational dynamics.
  • Help maintain strong client relationships through professional, solution-focused interactions to support long-term growth and business development.
  • Contribute to the development of high-visibility deliverables and program artifacts, including business cases, change and communications plans, operations manuals, and evaluation plans.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree plus eight (8) years of experience or Master’s degree and six (6) years of experience
  • working on engagements in a consulting organization, health-related government entity, or within a large integrated health care delivery system (or combination)
  • Experience with consulting methodologies such as change management, process improvement, human-centered design, environmental/market analysis and/or qualitative and quantitative research
  • Ability to simplify complex ideas into clear, accessible information for diverse audiences; strong writing skills and ability to develop business cases, operations manuals, presentation decks, and communications
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint)
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments, determine steps to complete, and deliver on time
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. indefinitely without sponsorship
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Public Health or related discipline
  • Experience working on health care transformation initiatives and/or pilots
  • Prosci, Lean Six Sigma, SAFe Agile, or other certification
  • Experience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs or large health systems

The posted salary range is the company’s good-faith estimate for this role. PFS benefits and compensation are determined by various factors, including, but not limited to, location; the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience; as well as contract and organizational requirements.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000
