Job description

Position Summary
Prometheus Federal Services (PFS) is a trusted partner of federal health agencies. We are seeking a Business Process Engineer to support workflow stabilization and optimization as VA transitions to a modern EHR. The engineer performs management and support of the analysis, design, development, and implementation of diverse, enterprise-wide healthcare processes and application systems impacted by the Oracle Health Federal Electronic Health Record. Work includes current-state analysis, workflow mapping, redesign support, and implementation assistance to stabilize and improve clinical and operational workflows across live sites. The ideal candidate can move quickly on emergent surge events while leveraging VHA's business architecture to drive workflow harmony and consistency across facilities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Conduct workflow mapping and current-state analysis for clinical and operational workflows impacted by the Federal EHR
  • Perform management and support of the analysis, design, development, and implementation of enterprise-wide healthcare processes and application systems
  • Provide redesign support and implementation assistance to stabilize and optimize workflows during Go-Live and PGL Operations
  • Conduct studies in support of system redesign and business process reengineering, improvement, and management
  • Develop implementation plans and support the process of implementing and sustaining improvements
  • Standardize and optimize workflows across sites to promote efficiency, safety, and consistent care delivery
  • Leverage VHA business architecture to establish workflow harmony, reduce complexity, and ensure enhancements achieve intended outcomes
  • Support clinical informatics issue triage and resolution for workflow, configuration, and interoperability issues related to Oracle Health system use
  • Contribute to integration management by refreshing guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures as workflows, systems, and Oracle Health interfaces evolve
  • Document process artifacts and deliver findings and recommendations to stakeholders
  • Support end user optimization by translating clinician and staff feedback into actionable workflow improvements
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) required
  • Minimum of six (6) years of relevant professional experience
  • Demonstrated experience in business process reengineering, process improvement, and process management
  • Experience with the analysis, design, development, and implementation of enterprise-wide processes and application systems
  • Demonstrated workflow mapping and current-state / future-state analysis capability
  • Experience developing implementation plans and sustaining process improvements
  • Strong written and oral communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. indefinitely without sponsorship.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a VA Low/NACI background investigation.
Preferred Qualification
  • Experience with health system or healthcare processes strongly preferred
  • Experience supporting Oracle Health (Cerner) Millennium workflow design or optimization
  • Lean Six Sigma certification or comparable process improvement credential
  • Experience supporting VHA or a comparable federal health informatics organization

The posted salary range is the company’s good-faith estimate for this role. PFS benefits and compensation are determined by various factors, including, but not limited to, location; the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience; as well as contract and organizational requirements.

Salary Range: $115,000 - $130,000
