IQ Senior Programmer

Program: U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) - Intranet Quorum Enterprise Application IT Professional Support

 

Location: Remote

Position Type: Contract - Contingent Upon Government Contract Award

Pay Range: $70.45-$74.59 per hour

 

MANDATORY ELIGIBILITY

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN.

Candidates who are not U.S. citizens cannot be considered for this position.

Candidates must also be capable of satisfying the applicable DOJ 3-of-5-year residency requirement and all required DOJ personnel security, information security, privacy, cybersecurity, and system-access requirements.

 

Experience Requirements

  • 10+ years of professional application development/programming experience
  • 5+ years of enterprise application development, integration, migration, or production-support experience
  • Senior-level enterprise software-development experience
  • Experience with application integrations and APIs
  • Experience with relational databases and data-driven enterprise applications
  • Experience troubleshooting enterprise applications
  • Experience supporting production migrations and deployments
  • Experience with software testing and defect remediation
  • Experience with secure software-development practices
  • Direct Intranet Quorum (IQ) development or support experience is strongly preferred

 

Position Summary

SMX Services & Consulting, Inc. is seeking an experienced IQ Senior Programmer to provide enterprise application development and engineering support for a U.S. Department of Justice Intranet Quorum migration and modernization initiative.

 

The Senior Programmer will analyze application compatibility and dependencies, support application migration and configuration, troubleshoot technical issues, validate integrations, assist with production deployments, and contribute to authorized cloud, API, data, security, and DevSecOps modernization activities.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze IQ application compatibility, dependencies, configurations, interfaces, and migration requirements.
  • Support migration of application components and supporting services into test and production environments.
  • Configure and troubleshoot enterprise applications and supporting services.
  • Diagnose and remediate application, integration, configuration, and deployment failures.
  • Develop or support application interfaces and APIs.
  • Work with relational databases and data-driven application components.
  • Support functional, integration, security, performance, smoke, and user acceptance testing.
  • Troubleshoot and remediate application defects.
  • Support production cutover and post-deployment validation.
  • Support rollback and contingency procedures.
  • Provide post-migration stabilization/hyper-care.
  • Support authorized application modernization using AWS managed services.
  • Contribute to cloud-native, serverless, API-based, or event-driven application architectures when required.
  • Support data migration and data-model modernization.
  • Participate in CI/CD, automated testing, security scanning, DevSecOps, and infrastructure-as-code activities where applicable.
  • Support vulnerability remediation and secure application releases.
  • Maintain application and technical documentation.
  • Provide technical knowledge transfer to government personnel.

Security Requirements

  • MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN
  • Must satisfy applicable DOJ residency requirements.
  • Must successfully complete required DOJ personnel-security and system-access processing.
  • Must comply with DOJ cybersecurity, privacy, information-security, access-control, and Rules of Behavior requirements.
  • An active Secret or Top Secret clearance is not explicitly required by the solicitation.

 

Work Schedule

This position is expected to be remote.

The Government's core support window is 6:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday through Friday.

Scheduled after-hours or weekend work may be required during production migration, deployment, or maintenance windows.

 

Compensation

$70.45-$74.59 per hour

Final compensation within the range will depend on directly relevant experience, qualifications, IQ expertise, and final assignment requirements.

 

Contingent Opportunity

This position supports a pending U.S. Government procurement. Employment, start date, hours, and assignment are contingent upon contract award, government authorization, successful completion of applicable eligibility/security requirements, and actual program staffing needs.
