Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Senior Reservations Consultant for a leading luxury travel tour operator.
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised travel professional with extensive experience in luxury travel reservations across Southern and East Africa. The successful candidate will work closely with Travel Designers to coordinate all reservation components, ensuring seamless travel arrangements and exceptional guest experiences from confirmation through to departure.
Key Requirements
• 4–7 years' experience in luxury travel reservations or tour operations
• Strong knowledge of Southern and East African destinations
• Experience using reservation systems such as Safari Portal
• Excellent administrative and organisational skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple bookings simultaneously while meeting deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel
• Professional, accountable and solutions-driven approach
• Experience working with international luxury travel advisors will be advantageous
• Understanding of foreign currency quotations is beneficial
• Knowledge of airline reservations and ticketing is advantageous
• CRM system experience will be advantageous
Key Responsibilities
• Manage reservation files from confirmation through to guest departure
• Obtain and accurately record all supplier confirmations
• Maintain accurate booking records within reservation and CRM systems
• Prepare travel documentation and detailed itineraries
• Monitor booking deadlines, payment schedules and cancellation periods
• Process amendments, cancellations and booking revisions efficiently
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers across Southern and East Africa
• Follow up outstanding confirmations and resolve supplier queries promptly
• Ensure all bookings meet company quality standards and guest preferences
• Coordinate logistics between multiple suppliers to ensure seamless itineraries
• Monitor deposits and final payments while assisting with supplier invoice reconciliations
• Provide operational support before and during travel, including urgent itinerary amendments where required
