Job description

Our client is a high-performance custom home builder seeking a high-performance Draftsperson who thrives in a work from home role.

Are you focused, accountable, and results-driven?

If you’re responsible enough to deliver without micromanagement and value your time, this role is built for you.

No more wasted hours in traffic. No more mind-numbing meetings that go nowhere. No more office politics or water-cooler chatter draining your energy and forcing you to work late just to get things done.

Here, your performance is measured by results, not office time.

And while you’ll enjoy the focus of working from home, you’ll still have access to the support you need and the team banter that keeps things light during downtime.

The Role

You will be responsible for producing accurate, compliant, and build-ready drawings for custom homes, with the autonomy to contribute ideas that improve efficiency and profitability.

This is a role for someone who takes ownership, not just drafting what you’re told, but helping shape smarter plans that save costs, reduce issues on site, and improve client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality, accurate working drawings
• Prepare documentation aligned with NCC, council regulations, and developer guidelines
• Create and maintain a range of standard and custom plans to support sales and construction
• Continuously refine designs to reduce costs, improve buildability, and increase profitability
• Coordinate with engineering, estimating, sales, and construction teams for project alignment
• Proactively resolve technical and design issues with confidence
• Liaise with external consultants (engineers, certifiers, surveyors) when required
• Meet deadlines with precision and accuracy

Software

Proficiency in Revit is mandatory and non negotiable. You must be able to work seamlessly within our existing Revit templates, layer structures, libraries, and workflows already used by our current draftsperson.
