The Role

This isn't a work-order processing job. You'll own maintenance and repair requests from the moment they land through to completion — working out which trade is actually needed, getting the right information, coordinating contractors and technicians, and following the job until it's genuinely resolved.

You'll be supporting an established Australian property and facilities management business. Previous strata experience is an advantage, but isn't essential — what matters more is that you understand maintenance, facilities, building services or trades coordination and can confidently keep repair jobs moving.

What You'll Be Doing

• Own maintenance and repair jobs end-to-end — from initial request through assessment, scheduling, quoting, approval and completion
  
• Assess maintenance issues, identify the appropriate trade or contractor, and determine when further information, photos, site inspections or specialist advice are needed
  
• Coordinate internal technicians and external contractors across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, roofing, waterproofing, glazing, locksmithing and general building maintenance
  
• Organise property access, contractor attendance and quotes, working with tenants, owners, building managers and clients
  
• Proactively follow up outstanding actions, keep stakeholders updated and ensure jobs continue moving without needing to be prompted
  
• Manage multiple active jobs and priorities, identify and escalate urgent issues, and review completed works and supporting information before closing jobs
  

Requirements

What You'll Need

• At least 2 years' relevant experience in property maintenance, facilities management, a trade or building business, or a similar service-based environment
  
• Practical knowledge of building maintenance and the different trades typically required for common repairs
  
• Proven experience independently coordinating maintenance or repair jobs from initial request through to completion
  
• Strong organisation and follow-up skills, with the ability to manage a high volume of active jobs and competing priorities
  
• Strong written and verbal English, with confidence communicating with contractors, technicians, clients and occupants
  
• Good judgement, autonomy and accountability — you're comfortable working out what needs to happen next rather than waiting for step-by-step instructions
  

Strong Advantage

• Australian or New Zealand property maintenance, facilities or trades-services experience
  
• Previous strata or property management experience
  
• Experience using job management, field service or property management software
