Job description

Lead Generation Specialist | Transport & Logistics | B2B (Remote)

Work From Home | Full-Time | AU Market | Finding Businesses With Transport Needs

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive Lead Generation Specialist whose primary responsibility is to identify and qualify Australian businesses that require transport, freight, courier, warehousing, or logistics services.

The role focuses on finding companies that ship boxes, pallets, machinery, containers, or have ongoing B2B freight needs and then securing warm, qualified leads for the Sales & Operations Team.

This is a high-impact role for growing transport volume, routes, and long-term freight contracts.

Core Purpose of the Role

Your job is to find businesses that need transport.
This includes businesses that:

  • Send or receive pallets, cartons, bulky goods, machinery, equipment, or containers.

  • Require courier services, metro deliveries, or interstate freight.

  • Need regular weekly deliveries to customers or warehouses.

  • Have recurring B2B shipping needs but want better rates or service reliability.

  • Are unhappy with their current transport provider.

  • Are expanding, relocating, or adding new routes.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Identification Finding Businesses That Ship Freight

  • Research Australian businesses that regularly move goods.

  • Use tools such as Google Maps, ABN Lookup, LinkedIn, industry directories, B2B supplier lists, and warehousing precinct searches.

  • Identify companies in commercial/industrial zones that likely have daily or weekly freight requirements.

  • Build targeted prospect lists based on shipping frequency, industry, and transport volumes.

Outbound Lead Generation

  • Call businesses to identify whether they currently use transport providers.

  • Ask structured qualification questions:

    • What freight do they ship? (boxes, pallets, machinery, etc.)

    • How often do they ship? (daily, weekly, monthly)

    • Destinations (local, interstate, metro/regional)

    • Pain points with current provider (price, delays, damages, no tracking, poor service)

  • Generate warm, qualified leads and book appointments for the Sales Team.

CRM & Pipeline Management

  • Log all leads, notes, and follow-up tasks in the CRM.

  • Track lead status from cold warm booked converted.

  • Prepare weekly summary reports of lead volume, opportunities created, and industry insights.

Support to Sales & Operations

  • Provide clear handover notes including freight type, quantity, pricing expectations, and frequency.

  • Assist with obtaining details required for preliminary quotes (pickup and delivery suburbs, pallet counts, weights, etc.).

Required Experience & Skills

  • 2-5 years in outbound sales, lead generation, telesales, or B2B customer service.

  • Experience finding B2B customers for transport/logistics is highly advantageous.

  • Australian market experience preferred (familiar with metro freight patterns and industrial zones).

  • Strong phone communication and confidence calling Australian businesses.

  • Able to quickly identify whether a business ships freight.

  • Excellent researching and list-building ability.

  • Strong objection handling and ability to create interest.

  • Organised, reliable, and comfortable managing a high-volume lead funnel.
