Job description

Head of Marketing – Strategy, Operations & Growth

Location: Brazil

 Employment Type: Full-time Contractor

Work Model: 100% Remote – availability to work aligned with PST business hours

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly hands-on Head of Marketing to take full ownership of the company's marketing function.

This role goes beyond managing campaigns or coordinating individual projects. The selected professional will be responsible for assessing the current marketing structure, identifying gaps, redefining priorities, organizing workflows, and building a scalable, high-performing department.

The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with strong execution capabilities. You should be comfortable leading a team while also establishing processes, defining responsibilities, setting measurable goals, and ensuring that marketing initiatives directly support the company's commercial and operational objectives.

This is an opportunity for a true department builder: someone capable of bringing structure, direction, accountability, and momentum to the entire marketing operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of the marketing department, including strategy, people, processes, priorities, budgets, and performance.
  • Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the current marketing operation, identifying structural gaps, inefficiencies, duplicated efforts, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Redesign and organize the department's structure, defining clear roles, responsibilities, workflows, approval processes, and performance expectations.
  • Lead, manage, and develop the internal marketing team, freelancers, agencies, and external partners.
  • Translate broader business objectives into clear marketing strategies, roadmaps, campaigns, and measurable execution plans.
  • Establish marketing KPIs, dashboards, reporting routines, and accountability mechanisms across the department.
  • Build a strong connection between Marketing, Sales, Operations, Customer Success, and other business functions.
  • Partner closely with the Commercial team to improve lead generation, positioning, sales enablement, pipeline contribution, and revenue growth.
  • Oversee digital marketing, content, social media, paid media, email marketing, SEO, branding, creative production, landing pages, and campaign execution.
  • Define project scopes, timelines, resources, priorities, dependencies, and expected outcomes.
  • Ensure that multiple initiatives are delivered consistently, on time, within budget, and according to brand and business standards.
  • Implement and improve project management systems using tools such as Asana, ClickUp, Jira, or similar platforms.
  • Identify performance issues or execution bottlenecks and take decisive action to resolve them.
  • Create a culture of ownership, collaboration, continuous improvement, and results within the marketing team.
  • Provide leadership with clear visibility into priorities, progress, performance, risks, and business impact.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in marketing, including significant experience in digital marketing and marketing operations.
  • Proven experience leading and developing marketing teams.
  • Demonstrated success in building, restructuring, or scaling a marketing department or function.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, campaign management, brand strategy, content, paid media, email marketing, SEO, and lead generation.
  • Experience establishing departmental processes, workflows, KPIs, reporting structures, and performance standards.
  • Strong cross-functional experience working with Sales, Operations, Customer Success, Product, or other business areas.
  • Ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels.
  • Strong project management, prioritization, budgeting, and resource-allocation skills.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, stakeholder-management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience managing multiple initiatives and teams in fast-paced, changing environments.
  • Advanced or fluent English, with the confidence to conduct meetings and communicate with international stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a fully remote environment aligned with PST business hours.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a digital marketing agency, startup, B2B organization, or rapidly growing company.
  • Experience connecting marketing activities to commercial results, pipeline generation, and revenue growth.
  • Familiarity with CRM, marketing automation, analytics, and project management platforms.
  • Experience working with international clients and multicultural teams.
  • Certifications in Marketing, Project Management, Agile, Scrum, or related areas.

Success in This Role

Success will be measured not only by campaign performance, but by the professional's ability to turn Marketing into a structured, integrated, accountable, and results-oriented department that works in close partnership with the rest of the organization.

We are looking for someone who does not simply maintain an existing operation, but who can evaluate it, improve it, and provide the leadership required to make the department perform at its full potential.
