Job description

Strategic Advisor – Brazil

Purpose

Serve as a recognized public-facing advisor for the Company in Brazil, helping establish the organization as a credible and influential voice in the national climate and sustainability conversation.

This strategic role is designed to amplify the Company’s presence across policy, regulation, industry, media, and executive networks, while working in close coordination with the Company’s selected PR agencies, partners, and internal teams. The objective is to drive brand awareness and qualified commercial momentum as climate regulations and market expectations evolve.

Ideal Background

  • 15+ years of combined technical and commercial experience in the climate domain

  • Strong record in Brazil’s decarbonization agenda, with the ability to discuss policy, sector pathways, and key market mechanisms in practical terms

  • Active presence as a speaker, commentator, author, or thought leader across conferences, media, social platforms, or industry forums

  • Trusted connector with access to senior executives, policymakers, regulators, investors, and ecosystem leaders

Time Commitment & Compensation

  • Flexible and event-driven, based on event calendar, media opportunities, and campaign priorities

  • Expected range: 10 hours per month

  • Compensation for this role will be defined and aligned based on profile, contribution, and scope of engagement

Core Responsibilities

  • External Representation & Events

    • Represent the Company at high-impact national and regional events across climate, energy, industry, finance, ESG, and technology.

    • Participate in panels, keynotes, roundtables, and private briefings as a Company-aligned voice.

    • Strengthen the Company’s visibility within Brazil’s climate and sustainability ecosystem through consistent presence.

    • Build and maintain relationships with relevant public-sector stakeholders and institutions regarding policy/regulatory developments.

  • Media & Thought Leadership

    • Act as a public spokesperson for the Company in Brazil, in coordination with PR and Communications.

    • Participate in media interviews, podcasts, op-eds, and expert commentary where appropriate.

    • Contribute to or amplify blog posts, LinkedIn content, and social media narratives aligned with the Company’s positioning.

    • Help translate complex climate, regulatory, and market topics into clear, credible public narratives.

  • Network Activation & Customer Referrals

    • Make senior-level introductions to relevant decision-makers, influencers, and potential customers.

    • Identify organizations where the Company is a strong strategic fit and facilitate warm entry.

    • Support customer referrals that convert into qualified commercial opportunities.

    • Advise on strategic/technical partnerships (institutes, integrators, technology partners, coalitions).

Operating Model

  • Flexible, relationship-based collaboration.

  • Regular but lightweight alignment with Company leadership

  • No contract signing authority; no pricing/discount approvals

  • No day-to-day operational management or engineering execution

All activities must comply with the Company’s compliance, ethics, and communications guidelines.

Quarterly KPIs & Role Expectations

The Strategic Advisor will be expected to contribute to the Company’s market visibility, strategic positioning, and qualified commercial momentum in Brazil through a defined set of measurable activities and outcomes.

  • Strategic Alignment and Internal Participation - Steering Committee Meeting

    • Virtually attend a 1-hour, monthly Brazil Steering Committee meeting

    • Create and present a meeting brief to provide insights on:

      • Policy, regulations, and sector demand

      • Event prioritization and selection

      • Partnerships and competitive dynamics

      • Practical implications for the Company’s positioning and strategy

Target 1: Virtually attend regular, monthly Brazil Steering Committee meetings and prepare/ present meeting brief.

  • Events and Public Positioning

    • Represent the Company at relevant market-facing events in Brazil

    • Support the Company with personal event invitations and guest lists for events

    • Support the Company’s visibility through speaking opportunities, industry participation, and executive presence

Target 2: Attend at least 1 event per quarter on behalf of the Company as a speaker, panelist, moderator, or private roundtable contributor, and, where appropriate, extend invitations to relevant contacts.

  • Thought Leadership

    • Contribute to thought leadership efforts in coordination with the selected PR agency and the internal team, ensuring approved messaging for all content.

Target 3: 1 written thought leadership contribution per quarter, such as a guest blog, op-ed, commentary piece, or co-authored article, and publish 3 LinkedIn posts per quarter referencing the Company.

  • Network Activation and Relationship Building

    • Make relevant introductions to priority accounts, ecosystem partners, policymakers, or influencers

    • Support warm entry into strategic opportunities

Target 4: Minimum of 2 qualified senior-level introductions per quarter or 2 relationship-building opportunities per quarter, such as private dinners, roundtables, executive briefings, and partner meetings.
