Job description

About Windsor.ai

Windsor.ai was founded in 2017 in Zürich, Switzerland. We build a data integration platform that connects 300+ data sources (Facebook Ads, Google Ads, HubSpot, Salesforce, TikTok and more) to 30+ destinations from Looker Studio, Google Sheets, BigQuery and Snowflake to LLMs like ChatGPT and Claude. Companies like Puma, Audi, UBS and ASICS use Windsor.ai to automate their reporting and get insights from their data without engineering overhead.

The problem we solve: the amount of data in the world keeps growing, but so does the number of tools it lives in. Keeping data updated across all of them is painful. We make connecting any source to any destination effortless.

We are a bootstrapped, profitable company of ~30 people working fully remotely across Europe. We’re a highly technical team, even our sales and marketing colleagues write SQL.

The Role

We’re looking for a Senior Python Engineer to work on the core of our platform: Python services, API integrations, scalability, and production reliability.

A big part of the work is taming the complexity of 300+ third-party APIs, each with its own quirks in authentication, rate limits, pagination, and data formats and making the platform fast and reliable at scale.

What you’ll do.

• Build, improve and optimize advanced services built with python that power data synchronisation, transformation across 300+ source APIs and 30+ destinations.

• Develop new connectors and improve existing ones, handling auth flows, rate limiting, retries, pagination, and schema variations.

• Improve scalability and reliability of production systems (performance, concurrency, monitoring, incident prevention).

• Write well-tested code (pytest) and review merge requests from teammates.

• Work in two-week sprints with room for shifting priorities, we stay pragmatic, not process-heavy.

Our tech stack

• Python: Flask, threads, pytest / pytest-xdist, pylint

• Redis, PostgreSQL

• Linux, Docker, GitLab CI/CD

• React + Redux on the frontend (not the focus of this role)

• Taiga for sprint planning

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional programming experience, with strong expertise in Python.

• Experience building and maintaining complex, production-grade systems.

• Experience integrating third-party APIs (auth, rate limits, pagination, error handling).

• Deep understanding of Python fundamentals: OOP, mutable vs. immutable types, concurrency (threads/async).

• Solid experience with Linux-based development and production environments.

• Working knowledge of SQL (we use PostgreSQL).

• You enjoy a fast-moving organization where you have real impact and ownership.

• Fluent English (written and spoken), we’re a fully remote, async-friendly team.

• Willing to complete a background check.

Nice to have

• Experience with Redis, Docker, or CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience in data integration, ETL/ELT, or martech/adtech APIs.

• Experience working in a small, remote-first product company.

How we work

We plan work in two-week intervals, but the plan isn’t rigid, priorities can shift mid-sprint when it makes sense. We use Taiga for planning, GitLab with CI/CD, lots of pytest, and merge request reviews. Small team, low bureaucracy, direct communication.
