Job description

Our Story & Impact

At CQ fluency, we believe language access is healthcare.

For more than two decades, we’ve partnered with leading healthcare and life sciences organizations to make communication clear, culturally relevant, and compliant. We bring healthcare communications to life.

We combine Cultural Intelligence (CQ) with advanced language technology and AI to enable understanding that drives outcomes — improving member experience, advancing health literacy, and strengthening trust between people and the systems that serve them.

As a minority-owned strategic partner, CQ fluency delivers culturally relevant solutions that meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. Recognized on the Inc. 5000 Fastest-Growing Private Companies list consecutively for over a decade, we continue to redefine what’s possible when innovation, empathy, and excellence intersect.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Full-Stack DevSecOps Engineer to join our globally distributed Engineering team. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving problems across the entire technology stack, from the end-user desktop experience to cloud infrastructure, application performance, and security.

At CQ fluency, we believe the user experience starts at the desktop. Rather than treating desktop support as a separate function, we see it as the foundation of everything we build. You'll help ensure our employees can work efficiently while improving the systems, infrastructure, and applications that power our business in a regulated healthcare environment.

Additionally, you'll thrive in this role if you're naturally curious, detail-oriented, and enjoy taking ownership from beginning to end. We work in a Prompt-Driven Delivery (PDD) environment, where AI accelerates development and our engineers provide the judgment, verification, and accountability behind every solution. If you're an experienced infrastructure or DevOps professional with a strong service mindset and a passion for building reliable, secure systems, we'd love to meet you.

Your Impact

  • Own and continuously improve the end-user desktop experience across Azure Virtual Desktop, Citrix Workspace, Intune, Amazon WorkSpaces, Microsoft 365, and specialized business applications.
  • Support and optimize our cloud infrastructure, Linux servers, networking, identity management, and access controls across Microsoft Azure.
  • Learn, troubleshoot, and improve the performance and reliability of internally supported applications running on technologies such as Python, Node.js, and Java.
  • Build security into every stage of delivery by supporting vulnerability management, secrets management, access hardening, logging, and audit readiness.
  • Participate in monitoring, incident response, and a shared follow-the-sun on-call rotation to ensure continuous operational support.
  • Work closely with global teammates to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable technology solutions that support our employees and clients.
  • Contribute to our Prompt-Driven Delivery (PDD) culture by directing AI-assisted development, validating results, and ensuring every solution meets CQ fluency's quality standards.

Qualifications for Success

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Systems Administration, Infrastructure Engineering, IT Operations, or a similar technical role.
  • Strong Linux administration skills, particularly Ubuntu environments.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Azure and Windows desktop technologies, including Azure Virtual Desktop, Intune, Entra ID/Active Directory, and PowerShell.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and improve applications built with Python, Node.js, Java, or similar technologies.
  • Experience with infrastructure automation and system orchestration.
  • Understanding of security best practices, including vulnerability management, identity and access management, and secrets management.
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation supporting a global organization.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Experience in healthcare, life sciences, or other regulated industries (HIPAA, SOC 2) is a plus.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or modern container platforms is preferred.

Our People. Our Promise.

At CQ fluency, we lead with understanding — it’s both our mission and our mindset.

We listen deeply, communicate clearly, and act with purpose to create solutions that truly improve lives.

We build trust through transparency, integrity, and respect — earning the confidence of our clients, our partners, and each other. Every commitment we make is one we keep.

And we show resilience in everything we do. We grow through change, meet challenges with curiosity, and transform complexity into opportunity.

At CQ fluency, we don’t just translate language — we translate understanding into action, bridging people, cultures, and healthcare systems so that communication becomes care.

We believe that when people are understood, outcomes improve — for our clients, our members, and our team.
