ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Lead Full-Stack Developer to join an experienced engineering team and take a leading role in designing, developing, and continuously improving modern cloud-based applications and AI-powered services.

The ideal candidate combines strong full-stack development skills with technical leadership, proactive communication, and a hands-on approach. You will work across the backend and frontend, with a particular focus on Python, Angular, APIs, cloud technologies, and Generative AI.

The team is responsible for maintaining and evolving a reliable AI-based service, developing new data integrations, and delivering innovative features such as image and video generation. The role also involves close collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders and supporting a junior developer through technical guidance and mentorship.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Take technical ownership of the development of full-stack applications and AI-powered services.

• Lead the technical direction of assigned features and contribute to architectural and design decisions.

• Design and develop scalable backend services using Python.

• Develop modern frontend applications using Angular.

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and integrations with internal and external services.

• Integrate and leverage Generative AI models and AI/ML APIs in production applications.

• Develop and maintain data integrations and services supporting AI-based use cases, including image and video generation.

• Design, deploy, and maintain applications running in Azure Cloud environments.

• Work with Kubernetes for containerized application deployment, scaling, and operations.

• Contribute to and maintain CI/CD pipelines, including GitHub Actions.

• Work with modern development practices and contribute to improving engineering processes and standards.

• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior team members.

• Act as a proactive technical point of contact within the team, communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Data Scientists, Engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver features from concept through production.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical and production issues, ensuring high reliability and availability.

• Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, maintainable, and testable.

• Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous team improvement.

• Stay up to date with developments in Generative AI, cloud technologies, software engineering, and DevOps.

REQUIREMENTS

Technical Skills

• Strong professional experience in full-stack software development.

• Strong hands-on experience with Python.

• Solid experience with Angular and modern frontend development.

• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, API design, and integrations.

• Experience working with Generative AI technologies, AI/ML APIs, or LLM-based solutions.

• Experience with Azure or AWS cloud environments, with Azure being particularly relevant.

• Good understanding of Kubernetes and containerized application deployment.

• Practical knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, particularly GitHub Actions.

• Understanding of modern software architecture, including microservices.

• Experience working with Git and modern software development workflows.

• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working in Scrum teams.

Leadership & Collaboration

• Previous experience in a technical leadership, Lead Developer, Tech Lead, or similar role.

• Strong ability to take ownership and drive technical topics proactively.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly communicate technical concepts and decisions.

• Experience mentoring or guiding junior developers.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Comfortable taking initiative, identifying improvements, and driving topics forward.

• Willingness and readiness to travel as required by project or client needs is expected. This may include occasional domestic or international travel, sometimes on short notice.

Nice to Have

• Experience with NX Smart Repositories / Nx.

• Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools.

• Experience with additional AI/ML frameworks or GenAI platforms.

• Experience with image and/or video generation solutions.

• Experience operating and supporting publicly accessible, production-grade services.

• Experience in the automotive or mobility industry.
