Quality Engineer – SAP Commerce Cloud / WalkMe
Experience: 5–7 years
We are seeking a mid-level Quality Engineer with 5–7 years of experience to support testing efforts across enterprise applications, with a primary focus on SAP Commerce Cloud. The candidate will likely also work on WalkMe and may contribute to HCM-related testing, though HCM is not a primary requirement for this role.
The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in manual testing, test planning, test design, defect management, and functional validation, along with hands-on experience in functional test automation using Playwright with Java. This individual should be comfortable working in fast-paced delivery environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring high-quality releases across web-based enterprise platforms.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform end-to-end testing of SAP Commerce Cloud applications, including core commerce workflows such as product search and browse, cart and checkout, pricing and promotions, order placement, and customer account validation
• Support testing efforts involving WalkMe and digital adoption workflows where applicable
• May contribute to HCM-related workflows, integrations, and business process validation as needed
• Develop and execute test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, and test cases based on business and functional requirements
• Lead strong manual testing efforts across functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing cycles
• Review requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to ensure they are complete, testable, and aligned to business needs
• Create effective test coverage for positive, negative, boundary, and cross-functional scenarios
• Design, build, maintain, and execute functional automation scripts using Playwright with Java
• Validate integrations between SAP Commerce Cloud and related enterprise systems
• Identify, document, track, manage, and retest defects through closure
• Support smoke, sanity, regression, and release validation cycles
• Assist with test data setup, environment readiness, and release coordination
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with developers, business analysts, product owners, and stakeholders
• Provide clear reporting on test progress, quality risks, and release readiness
• Support basic performance testing activities or coordination, including exposure to performance tools and validation approaches
Required Qualifications
• 5–7 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing
• Proven hands-on experience testing SAP Commerce Cloud
• Strong experience validating commerce-specific workflows such as catalog, search, cart, checkout, pricing, promotions, and order flows
• Strong hands-on experience in manual testing, including test planning, test design, test execution, regression testing, defect management, and end-to-end functional validation
• Hands-on experience with Playwright with Java for functional UI automation
• Experience with web application testing in enterprise environments
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, STLC, and defect lifecycle
• Ability to analyze requirements and translate them into structured, traceable test scenarios and test cases
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively in a contractor role
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with WalkMe testing or digital adoption platform validation
• Exposure to HCM systems, workflows, or platforms
• Exposure to using AI in testing such as Cline or other AI assisted workflows
• Exposure to performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, k6, or similar
• Experience with API testing using tools such as Postman or similar
• Familiarity with Jira, Azure DevOps, and ServiceNow (SNOW)
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution in release processes
• Experience testing integrations across multiple enterprise systems
