Legal Virtual Assistant – Personal Injury & Criminal Defense

Reclatam is hiring on behalf of a U.S.-based law firm.

We are looking for a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Personal Injury Legal Assistant to join a growing legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong Personal Injury experience who enjoys taking ownership of their work, managing case details, and producing high-quality legal documents.

The primary focus of this position will be Personal Injury casework, particularly discovery, case management, medical records, and demand letters. The role will also include limited clerical support for Criminal Defense matters.

Position Details

  • Location: Remote – LATAM
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM or 9:00 AM–5:00 PM Eastern Time, as assigned by the client
  • Salary: $2,000 USD/month

What You'll Do

Personal Injury

  • Manage case calendars and track deadlines across the caseload.
  • Respond to discovery requests and prepare related documentation.
  • Track down, organize, and follow up on important case information.
  • Request and follow up on medical records from healthcare providers.
  • Draft detailed demand letters for attorney review, including letters that may be approximately 5–6 pages.
  • Maintain accurate and organized case files.

Criminal Defense

  • Download documents from court and agency portals.
  • Upload and organize documents in the firm's case management system.
  • Provide general filing and clerical support.

Training and guidance will be provided during the first couple of weeks, particularly for the Criminal Defense clerical responsibilities.

What We're Looking For

  • At least 2 years of professional experience in Personal Injury.
  • Hands-on experience with discovery and Personal Injury casework.
  • Experience drafting demand letters.
  • C1-level English proficiency or higher, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases, deadlines, and follow-ups independently.
  • Experience requesting and following up on medical records.
  • Familiarity with legal case management software.
  • MyCase experience is preferred.
  • Criminal Defense experience is a plus, but not required.
