We offer a wide range of domestic and international destinations.  Coral is part of the NRMA Group, a member-owned brand that also operates NRMA Parks & Resorts, SIXT car rental, NRMA Electric Vehicle charging network and various marine businesses.

Job Description

In the position of Chief Officer, you will form part of the competent crew on board our expedition cruise ships. The role is a vital position that works closely with the Master and/or Chief Engineer to ensure the safety of the vessel, the passengers and the crew on board the vessel. The successful applicant will have a high level of customer service, as well as a sound level of seamanship. This position would suit a motivated person who is looking for a stable job in a well-established nationwide marine team.

What You'll Do

  • Proven deck experience, preferably on passenger ships
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent personal presentation
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • High level of customer service
  • Passionate about the Marine environment
  • Proven record in Managing a team
  • Previous ships inventory systems knowledge a plus (HELM)
  • Sound knowledge of International Safety Management systems (ISM)
  • Management in ships inventory and stock take procedures
  • Demonstrated safe working practices mindset.

  • GMDSS
  • ECDIS - TRANSAS
  • Proficiency in Survival Craft
  • AMSA Endorsed Certificate of Safety Training (CoST)
  • Crowd control & Crisis Management
  • AMSA Medical
  • Remote Area First Aid & Advanced CPR
  • ASSB or other country equivalent discharge book.

Rosters will require a commitment of up to 6 weeks duration for domestic voyages and up to 8 weeks for international voyages.
