About the Role:
The Application Developer will involve collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including business analysts, project managers, quality assurance specialists, and developers to deliver robust, scalable, and user-friendly enterprise solutions. You will analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications, developing and maintaining both custom applications and Salesforce-based solutions. This role includes designing, troubleshooting, debugging, and enhancing applications to improve performance, security, and user experience while ensuring seamless integration between Salesforce and other enterprise systems.
Location: Remote. The selected candidate must be currently located in, or willing to relocate to, a state supported by Tripoint Solutions corporate offices: AL, CO, DC, DE, FL, GA, IL, IN, KS, LA, MD, MN, MS, NC, NJ, OH, PA, SC, TN, TX, or VA. (No relocation assistance provided)

Responsibilities:
- Configure and maintain the Salesforce Education Cloud environment: Flows, validation rules, record types, page layouts, permission sets, sharing rules, report types, and dashboards.
- Work across the Education Cloud data model, including Contact, Course Connection, Program Enrollment, Program Plan, and Program Requirement Category.
- Support the EDA to Education Cloud migration: environment configuration, object setup, testing, and validation.
- Investigate and resolve student data integrity issues: duplicate records, account merges, grade and enrollment discrepancies, and reconciliation against partner institution feeds.
- Configure and maintain Case management, queues, and assignment rules supporting a high-volume student support operation that scales with enrollment.
- Build and maintain automation supporting admissions and application processing, including status logic, bulk updates, and outbound application feeds.
- Support Salesforce Digital Experiences content and configuration behind the Student Portal, Student Support, and public marketing sites.
- Perform data loads, deduplication, and record merges using Data Loader or comparable tooling.
- Write Apex, triggers, or Lightning Web Components where a declarative solution genuinely will not work.
- Move work through sandboxes to Production on a three-week release cadence, with testing and documentation.
- Ensure configuration meets Section 508 accessibility standards and federal security requirements.
- Document configuration decisions, data fixes, and operating procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience developing web, enterprise, or Salesforce applications.
- Salesforce Certified Administrator.
- Experience with a complex, customized Salesforce org, including custom objects, relationship design, and record-level security.
- Proficiency with Flow Builder, validation rules, permission sets, profiles, sharing rules, and field-level security.
- Proficiency with SOQL and Salesforce reporting.
- Experience with data loading, deduplication, and record merge operations.
- Experience investigating and remediating data quality issues across integrated systems.
- Experience moving configuration through sandboxes to Production.
- Experience working in an Agile team using Jira or comparable tooling.
- A demonstrated track record of automating manual processes rather than sustaining them. Be ready to give examples.
- Camera on. Video is required throughout the interview process and expected for standups, sprint ceremonies, working sessions, and stakeholder meetings.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder.
- Salesforce Education Cloud or Education Data Architecture (EDA) experience.
- Higher education experience: student information systems, registrar operations, admissions, or transcription.
- Working knowledge of Apex, triggers, and Lightning Web Components.
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I.
- Salesforce Government Cloud or another FedRAMP authorized environment.
- Experience with REST or SOAP integrations, or with MuleSoft.
- Salesforce Experience Cloud, Service Cloud, or Digital Experiences.
- CRM Analytics or Tableau.
- Section 508 and WCAG accessibility standards.
- Git, Salesforce CLI, DevOps Center, Gearset, or Copado.
- Prior federal contract experience.
