The Opportunity

As our Global Drug Safety Project & Account Manager, you will be responsible for leading the successful delivery of Pharmacovigilance and Drug Safety projects while developing strong, long-term client partnerships.

Acting as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for assigned clients, you will oversee project performance, stakeholder engagement, financial management, and service delivery to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.

This is a highly visible, client-facing role that combines project leadership, account management, and strategic relationship building within a dynamic and growing global consultancy.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Delivery

  • Lead Pharmacovigilance and Drug Safety projects from initiation through to completion.
  • Ensure projects are delivered in line with contractual scope, timelines, budget, quality standards, and client expectations.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, governance frameworks, and reporting structures.
  • Identify and proactively manage risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project performance and operational efficiency.

Client & Account Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts.
  • Build and maintain trusted, long-term client relationships.
  • Understand client objectives and provide proactive support and solutions.
  • Monitor client satisfaction and ensure service excellence across all engagements.
  • Identify opportunities to expand services and support ongoing business growth.

Financial & Commercial Oversight

  • Monitor project budgets, resource utilisation, revenue performance, and profitability.
  • Support forecasting, invoicing, and financial reporting activities.
  • Manage scope changes and ensure commercial agreements are effectively maintained.
  • Contribute to sustainable account growth and commercial success.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Lead project meetings, governance reviews, and client discussions.
  • Foster collaboration, accountability, and effective communication across internal and external stakeholders.

Quality & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures, client requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
  • Support audits, inspections, CAPA activities, and Quality Management System requirements where applicable.


Requirements

Essential

  • Experience within Pharmacovigilance, Drug Safety, Clinical Safety, or a related regulated life sciences environment.
  • Proven experience managing client-facing projects within a CRO, life sciences consultancy, pharmaceutical company, or service provider environment.
  • Account management experience, including building and maintaining client relationships.
  • Strong project planning, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience managing budgets, project performance, and commercial deliverables.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage confidently at all levels.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • A degree in a scientific discipline or relevant business field.

Preferred

  • Experience managing global or multi-country projects.
  • Formal Project Management certification or qualification.
  • Previous experience working within a Pharmacovigilance service provider, CRO, or consultancy environment.
  • Experience supporting business development, project scoping, or service expansion activities.
