Position Summary

A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a Trusts & Estates Partner to join and further expand its private wealth and family office practice. This role is intended for an established trusts and estates lawyer with a sophisticated, high-net-worth client base who is interested in growing within a collaborative national platform.

The incoming partner will work alongside highly regarded private wealth practitioners across multiple offices and will have access to deep internal support in tax, corporate, real estate, and litigation. This position offers the opportunity to provide holistic legal counsel to clients whose wealth planning needs are complex, multi-jurisdictional, and multi-generational.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a partner-level trusts and estates practice
• Advise high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families on complex estate, gift, and wealth transfer planning
• Structure and advise family offices and private investment entities
• Counsel clients on trust formation, administration, and fiduciary matters
• Develop succession plans for closely held businesses and investment structures
• Address cross-border and international estate planning issues
• Coordinate closely with tax, corporate, real estate, and litigation partners to deliver integrated client solutions
• Build and maintain long-term advisory relationships with clients and their professional advisors

• High-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families
• Family offices and private investment vehicles
• Entrepreneurs, founders, and closely held business owners
• Individuals and families with complex planning needs

The practice is intentionally focused on bespoke, high-value planning rather than mass-market wills and trusts.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience
• Experience as a partner-level attorney in trusts and estates law
