  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key food and beverage manufacturers, distributors, RD teams, procurement, product developers, and innovation partners to drive long-term business growth
  • Stay informed on market trends, emerging flavor technologies, clean label innovations, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities for new business and product innovation
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Product Development, Technical Services, and other cross-functional teams to support customer projects, product launches, and strategic initiatives

Location: Remote, East Coast

Reporting to : Vice President of Sales

As a Senior Account Manager, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, developing strategic customer relationships, and executing sales strategies across our portfolio of clean label ingredients, natural flavors, flavor systems, and functional ingredient solutions. This role will focus on expanding market share within key food and beverage segments. 

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in the food flavors and/or ingredients industry, an established network of customer relationships, a strong commercial mindset, a proven track record of consultative and technical sales, and the ability to identify, develop, and capitalize on growth opportunities across multiple food and beverage segments.

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue targets by growing existing accounts and prospecting new business opportunities within the assigned territory, including cold calling and targeted business development initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key food and beverage manufacturers, distributors, R&D teams, procurement, product developers, and innovation partners to drive long-term business growth.
  • Investigate customer concerns and ensure prompt, effective resolution to maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Stay informed on market trends, emerging flavor technologies, clean label innovations, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities for new business and product innovation.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts and reports to track performance, adjusting strategies as needed to achieve targets timely via CRM.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of the company's portfolio of clean label ingredients, natural flavors, flavor systems, and functional ingredient solutions, effectively communicating both their technical and commercial value.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and performance reports through the CRM system, adjusting sales strategies as needed to achieve business objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Product Development, Technical Services, and other cross-functional teams to support customer projects, product launches, and strategic initiatives
  • Complete all required company training and maintain compliance with the official training matrix.. 

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5 years of successful B2B sales experience selling food ingredients, flavors, seasonings, extracts, specialty ingredients, or functional ingredient solutions to food and beverage manufacturers.
  • Experience working with flavor houses, ingredient manufacturers, distributors, or food ingredient companies strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated understanding of flavor technologies including natural flavors, extracts, botanical ingredients, flavor systems, flavor modulation, masking technologies, and clean label solutions is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of sales metrics and KPIs.
  • Experience with CRM software and sales reporting tools.
  • A proactive, customer-centric mindset and a results-driven approach.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Up to 40% travel required.
