Job description

Business Unit: Performance Sales

Location: Remote, West Coast/ MidWest Preferred 

Reporting to : Vice President of Sales

Position Summary:


The Account Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth for Protection and Preservation Division primarily, developing strategic customer relationships, and executing sales strategies. This role will focus on expanding market share within key segments of our portfolio Food. The ideal candidate will bring deep Food industry expertise especially in the meat industry, customer contacts, have a strong commercial mindset, a proven track record of executing successful sales techniques and strategies, and the ability to identify and size growth opportunities across multiple sectors. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets. 
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and partners to drive business growth.
  • Continuous search for new potential accounts as a means for increasing sales in assigned territory (including cold calls to potential customers).
  • Coordinates sales efforts to ensure effective sales service, customer relations, and administrative needs.
  • Investigates customer complaints and assures prompt, effective solutions. 
  • Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and customers need to identify opportunities for new business.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts and reports to track performance, adjusting strategies as needed to achieve targets timely via CRM.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the company's products and effectively communicate their benefits to customers.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including marketing and product development, to ensure alignment with goals and initiatives.
  • Remains current in necessary training programs according to the official company training matrix. 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Food science, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the food and beverage industry.
  • Strong understanding of sales metrics and KPIs.
  • Experience with CRM software and sales reporting tools.
  • A proactive, customer-centric mindset and a results-driven approach.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Up to 50% travel minimum required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives to launch new beverage products.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret sales data to drive decisions.
