Job description

This is a remote position.

Position Description:  

The ServiceNow Identity Security Engineer supports the implementation, configuration, and ongoing delivery of identity security solutions on the ServiceNow platform, including Veza and related identity governance and authorization visibility capabilities. This role contributes to client-facing identity security engagements by configuring platform features, supporting integrations, and assisting with solution deployment and optimization. 

The Identity Security Engineer works closely with senior engineers, consultants, and client stakeholders to deliver identity governance, access certification, and authorization visibility solutions for enterprise clients. This role focuses on hands-on execution, technical problem solving, and continuous learning while supporting broader cybersecurity and identity security programs. 

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Configuration of identity security solutions within ServiceNow platform 
  • Support user provisioning and access certification processes 
  • Develop and maintain integrations between ServiceNow Modules and third-party tools 
  • Enhance automation and orchestration workflows using ServiceNow Flow Designer and Security Orchestration Automation and Response (SOAR) 
  • Develop scripts, custom applications and workflow automation within ServiceNow to extend IRM and SecOps capabilities. 
  • Assist in conducting client stakeholder workshops, participate in requirements gathering and documentation 
  • Develop governance processes for human and non-human identities 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to ServiceNow functionalities and integrations 
  • Assist in creating and conducting product demos to stakeholders for the purpose of client discovery and or product training efforts 
  • Establish trusted client relationships and advise clients on their business needs 
  • Configure authorization visibility dashboards and access analytics reporting 
  • Configure integration of identity security insights with cybersecurity programs such as exposure management, vulnerability management, or security operations 
  • Develop direct system testing and validation procedures and documentation 
  • Develop test plans to address specifications and requirements 
  • Conduct testing and support deployment of identity security solutions 
  • Assist Templar Shield clients with developing, implementing, and strengthening identity security programs 
  • Participate in the installation, implementation, configuration, and support of ServiceNow system components. 
  • Comply with established Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and or Agile method for design and development of various solutions on the identity security platform to ensure all efforts are coordinated and controlled. 
  • Assist in soliciting and managing to completion feedback from requestors on quality, timeliness, and effectiveness of ServiceNow implementations against business and functional requirements. 
  • Stay up to date with the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and updates to the ServiceNow platform as well as identity security modules 
  • Research and evaluate available identity security platforms to meet customer requirements. 
  • Support internal sales and client account teams in identifying new business opportunities. 
  • Support in the creation of proposals, effort, and cost estimates and submit responses to Request for Proposals (RFP's). 
  • Assist in sales pursuits and proposals and assist growing Templar Shield practice areas. 
  • Work closely with dispersed resources throughout multiple cities and countries. 
  • Participate in development of training curriculum and course content. 
  • Travel as needed based on the project and business development requirements. 


Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in IAM, cybersecurity, or IT. 
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in ServiceNow (preferably CSA) and/or Veza  
  • Exposure to Active Directory, LDAP, or cloud directory services 
  • Basic understanding of access control models (RBAC, ABAC) and identity lifecycle concepts (provisioning, deprovisioning, access certification) 
  • Basic understanding of identity lifecycle concepts 
  • Strong collaboration skills when working with technical teams and client stakeholders 
  • Excellent verbal/written communication, problem solving, analytical, and independent judgment skills to support an environment driven by customer service and teamwork. 
  • Willing to travel up to 50%, per client needs 

 

Preferred / Nice-to-Have 

  • Experience with identity governance platforms (SailPoint, Saviynt, Okta, Microsoft Entra or Clear Skye) 
  • Basic scripting experience in Python, JavaScript, or PowerShell 
  • Awareness of authorization visibility concepts  
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and integration concepts 
  • Interest in identity governance and identity security 
  • Exposure to ServiceNow IRM/SecOps
