Senior Research Operations Manager - 100% Remote

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Research Operations Manager for a Remote position with a Global Medical Technology Company located in San Diego, CA. This is a 4+ month contract opportunity. This position is 100% remote.

Compensation: $58.00 - $68.00 per hour, W2, based on qualifications

Position Overview:
This role focuses on building and scaling the research operations infrastructure for a growing team. The ideal candidate will be a systems thinker responsible for managing research tools, vendor relationships, and operational workflows. This position involves close collaboration with Privacy, Legal, and Compliance teams to ensure research is conducted efficiently and safely in a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain research operations infrastructure, including standard operating procedures, recruitment templates, screeners, and reusable study resources
• Coordinate customer access so interview requests are well-planned, appropriately routed, and not duplicative
• Manage research vendors, procurement workflows, contracts, purchase orders, budget tracking, and vendor performance
• Administer research tools and platforms such as UserTesting, UserZoom, and VoxPopMe, including access, usage guidance, and renewals
• Partner with Privacy, Legal, Compliance, and Procurement teams to support consent, safe data handling, and documentation
• Identify practical ways to use AI-enabled workflows and automation to improve research speed and consistency

Primary Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree
• 5-8+ years of experience in Research Operations, Design Operations, Product Operations, or a related role supporting User Research, UX Design, or Product teams
• Experience building and/or scaling User Research Operations
• Disciplined project management, with ownership of timelines, dependencies, handoffs, budgets, and documentation
• Strong understanding of the end-to-end user research lifecycle, including interviews, usability testing, concept evaluation, and surveys
• Proficient with Microsoft 365 Suite
• Experience building AI agents to automate workflows

Desired Skills:

• Hands-on experience with research platforms such as UserTesting.com, UserZoom, Great Question, VoxPopMe, or similar tools
• Experience turning ambiguous, high-friction workflows into clear, scalable, and well-documented operating models
• Comfortable working in a regulated or privacy-sensitive environment
