Senior ServiceNow Developer (GRC/Vulnerability Response/IRM)

Location: Remote, Bethesda, MD

Duration: 12 months

Key Responsibilities:

• ServiceNow Customization and Development:
  • Design, develop, and customize ServiceNow applications, modules, and workflows.
  • Create and maintain forms, fields, UI policies, and business rules.
  • Implement client-side and server-side scripting.
• Automation Framework Development:
  • Build and maintain automation frameworks to streamline tasks and processes.
  • Develop scripts and workflows for task automation within ServiceNow.
• Integration and Orchestration:
  • Integrate ServiceNow with external systems using REST APIs and web services.
  • Orchestrate cross-platform processes and data exchanges.
• AWS Integration:
  • Develop integration workflows between AWS services and ServiceNow.
  • Utilize AWS Lambda and other serverless technologies for automation.
• Testing Automation:
  • Develop automated test scripts and test suites for ServiceNow applications.
  • Implement regression testing for stability assurance.
• Scripting and Scripted REST APIs:
  • Proficiency in JavaScript for custom functionality and enhancements.
  • Develop scripted REST APIs for data integration.
• Collaboration and Communication:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Communicate effectively to gather requirements and provide updates.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field.
• 7 years of ServiceNow development experience.
• Experience with Flow Designer, Integration Hub, or Service Portal development.
• Expertise in ServiceNow capabilities such as GRC/IRM, ITSM, ITAM, ITOM, and ITIL frameworks.
• Experience with ServiceNow integrations using REST/SOAP and MID Servers.
• Proficient in JavaScript, Glide API, HTML, and CSS.
• Familiarity with CMDB and Discovery.
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or Certified System Administrator (CSA).
• Experience with Agile development methodology and JIRA or a similar RTM platform.

Platform Migration & Governance Skills:

• Experience managing the ServiceNow update set lifecycle.
• Ability to identify and resolve update set conflicts efficiently.
• Strong knowledge of best practices for update set management.
• Familiarity with Scoped Applications and understanding update set limitations.

Soft Skills:

• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality results.

Nice to have:

• Experience with ServiceNow Generative AI Controller and Now Assist capabilities.
• Understanding of bridging the gap between the Now Platform and external LLMs.
• Experience with AI-Driven Workflow & Process Optimization.
