Vantage Data Centers powers, cools, protects and connects the technology of the world’s well-known hyperscalers, cloud providers and large enterprises. Developing and operating across North America, EMEA and Asia Pacific, Vantage has evolved data center design in innovative ways to deliver dramatic gains in reliability, efficiency and sustainability in flexible environments that can scale as quickly as the market demands.

Information Technology Department
The Information Technology Department architects and operates the digital foundation powering Vantage Data Centers' global operations while pioneering the intelligent transformation of how we work. Our integrated IT/AI organization delivers enterprise-grade infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, and end-user services with operational excellence, while simultaneously developing artificial intelligence capabilities that drive measurable business value. We are transforming our service delivery model around ITIL best practices, comprehensive automation frameworks, and governance structures that enable both stability and innovation. Our teams collaborate across Infrastructure, Network, Service Desk, IT Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence functions, emphasizing service over technology and recognizing that success is measured by business outcomes rather than technical implementations. This is an exceptional time to join as we fundamentally reshape how technology serves the organization, creating an environment where operational discipline and innovative experimentation work as complementary forces.

Artificial Intelligence Team
The Artificial Intelligence Team exists to amplify human potential through intelligent technology. We're building an AI-powered ecosystem that transforms how Vantage creates value, freeing our people from routine work so they can focus on innovation and strategic thinking that truly differentiates us in the market. Through responsible AI implementation across operations, engineering, and business functions, we're not just automating processes; we're reimagining what's possible when human creativity partners with artificial intelligence. Our approach centers on measurable business outcomes, ethical governance, and creating capabilities that make every team member more effective while positioning Vantage at the forefront of the intelligent infrastructure revolution.

Position Overview

This position will be based remotely in the United States.

The Sr. Platform Owner, Halo, Global is the technical and strategic owner of Vantage’s Halo AI platform, responsible for ensuring the platform’s health, scalability, security, and continuous evolution as the backbone for custom AI solutions and intelligent applications across the enterprise. While Copilot serves Microsoft 365 productivity workflows, Halo is Vantage’s purpose-built platform for deploying custom AI applications, agentic workflows, and intelligent automation solutions that address industry-specific challenges. This role combines deep technical expertise in cloud AI infrastructure, application platforms, and enterprise architecture with product ownership discipline, managing the platform lifecycle from architecture design through production operations. Success requires balancing platform robustness with development velocity, ensuring the Accelerators team has a reliable foundation for rapid prototyping while custom solutions meet enterprise production standards for security, performance, and scalability.

Essential Job Functions

  • Own the end-to-end health, performance, and reliability of the Halo platform, establishing monitoring frameworks, SLAs, and operational procedures that ensure platform availability and performance meet enterprise standards.

  • Define and execute the Halo platform roadmap, balancing infrastructure stability with capability expansion based on Accelerators team needs, Navigator opportunity insights, and emerging AI technology capabilities.

  • Architect and maintain the Halo platform infrastructure including compute resources, AI model hosting, data pipelines, API gateways, and integration frameworks that enable rapid development and reliable production operations.

  • Establish development standards, deployment patterns, and integration templates that enable the Accelerators team to build and deploy solutions efficiently while maintaining platform architectural integrity.

  • Manage Halo security controls, data governance policies, and compliance frameworks that protect organizational data and meet enterprise security requirements for AI application deployment.

  • Collaborate with IT and Security teams on platform infrastructure including cloud architecture, network security, identity management, and monitoring that aligns Halo with enterprise technology standards.

  • Evaluate and integrate emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and services into the Halo platform, maintaining a modern technology stack that supports the organization’s evolving AI capabilities.

  • Develop technical documentation, architecture decision records, and developer guides that enable efficient onboarding and reduce platform team dependencies.

Duties

  • Monitor Halo platform health across all layers including infrastructure, application services, AI model performance, API availability, and integration endpoints, investigating and resolving issues proactively.

  • Manage cloud infrastructure for Halo including Azure resource optimization, cost management, capacity planning, and scaling strategies that balance performance with financial efficiency.

  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and environment management that enable rapid prototyping cycles while maintaining production stability.

  • Configure and maintain security controls including authentication/authorization frameworks, API key management, data encryption, network segmentation, and audit logging for all Halo components.

  • Create and maintain developer toolkits, starter templates, and SDK components that accelerate solution development on the Halo platform while ensuring architectural consistency.

  • Conduct platform architecture reviews for solutions built by the Accelerators team, ensuring custom applications align with Halo standards and can transition smoothly to production.

  • Manage platform vendor relationships including Azure service agreements, AI model provider contracts, and third-party component licenses that support Halo capabilities.

  • Design and execute platform load testing, security assessments, and disaster recovery exercises that validate Halo readiness for enterprise-scale operations.

  • Troubleshoot complex platform issues spanning infrastructure, application, and AI model layers, coordinating with cloud providers and technology partners when needed.

  • Support the Platform Owner, Halo in day-to-day platform operations, mentoring and guiding their development while ensuring consistent quality across platform management activities.

  • Participate in technology evaluation and proof-of-concept development for emerging AI frameworks, model architectures, and infrastructure capabilities that could enhance Halo.

  • Handle additional duties as assigned by Management.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field required; Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, AI-102) or equivalent cloud platform certifications strongly preferred.

  • Experience leading or managing AI programs, platforms, or technology initiatives in enterprise environments.

  • Extensive experience building, operating, and scaling cloud-based application platforms, with demonstrated expertise in Azure services including App Services, Functions, Container Apps, AI Services, and infrastructure management.

  • Deep technical knowledge of AI/ML deployment infrastructure, including model hosting, inference optimization, vector databases, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) architectures, and agentic framework deployment.

  • Strong software engineering background with proficiency in Python and TypeScript/JavaScript, as well as modern development practices including CI/CD, infrastructure as code, containerization, and API design. Demonstrated enthusiasm for leveraging AI-powered development tools to accelerate agentic solution development.

  • Experience with enterprise security architecture, including identity and access management (Azure AD/Entra ID), network security, data encryption, and compliance controls for cloud-native applications.

  • Practical knowledge of AI frameworks and technologies including LangChain, Semantic Kernel, Azure OpenAI, and conversational AI platforms, with an understanding of their integration within enterprise platform architectures.

  • Demonstrated success managing complex platform lifecycles, including capacity planning, release management, incident response, and technical debt reduction within production environments.

  • Strong architectural and strategic thinking skills, with experience evaluating technology trade-offs, making build-versus-buy decisions, and designing scalable platforms that balance current business needs with future flexibility.

  • Experience optimizing developer experience (DevEx) through documentation, tooling, templates, automation, and support processes that improve engineering productivity and solution delivery velocity.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues across infrastructure, application, and AI model layers in distributed cloud environments.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to articulate platform architecture, technical constraints, and strategic recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Self-directed and proactive, with a demonstrated ability to identify, prioritize, and address emerging technical challenges before they impact users or platform performance.

  • Travel required is expected to be up to 15% but may increase over time as the business evolves
