WFH Sr. Network and Systems Administrator (Firewall) - #35234

• Serve as senior escalation point for complex customer and help desk issues, ensuring timely resolution
• Lead infrastructure monitoring and reporting on health, traffic, performance, vulnerabilities and trends to management
• Evaluate and optimize existing systems to improve efficiency, scalability, and reliability
• Design and document workflows, system diagrams, and operational processes for IT and business alignment
• Architect solutions that balance innovation with financial and resource constraints
• Plan and implement enterprise network security, including firewall management, VPN configuration, host security, file permissions, and system integrity
• Manage user lifecycle including provisioning, de-provisioning, and access control across systems
• Provide technical guidance to help desk, NOC and Engineering teams
• Lead onboarding and IT orientation for new employees, ensuring smooth integration into company systems
• Drive innovation by researching, testing, and implementing new technologies to keep the company competitive
• Quote and scope client hardware requirements and projects.
• Creatively problem solve within the bounds of available financial resources

Requirements

• Degree in related field or equivalent applicable work experience
• 5+ years of progressive experience in network and systems administration, including help desk escalation and infrastructure support
• Experience with Firewalls: Sophos, Cisco Meraki, Fortinet, Unify
• Expert-level knowledge of Active Directory, Enterprise domain controllers, and group policy management, Microsoft Azure, DNS, Microsoft Integrations, Office 365, and hybrid cloud environments
• Deep understanding of network security, firewalls, VPNs, Routers, WAN/LAN, ACL, intrusion detection/prevention, and endpoint protection
• Extensive experience with enterprise-scale software deployments, patch management, and automation frameworks
• High proficiency in PC systems, enterprise applications, and IT management tools
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical issues into business impact for stakeholders
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with emerging technologies

Preferably with knowledge in the following tools:

• Microsoft 365: Admin Center, Exchange, Azure, Identity, etc.
• RMM : NinjaOne, n-central, Datto, etc.
• Backup: Cove Data Protect, Commvault, NinjaOne Backup
• Patching: Microsoft OS Patches, 3rd party Software Patch
• Network Monitoring: Auvik, ConnectSecure, Solarwinds
• AI tools: Base 44, Claude,

Advantageous Experience/Skills:

• SolArc experience
• Advanced PowerShell scripting skills with proven experience in automation
• Preferably with IT Certifications (Microsoft, Cisco etc.)
• Hospitality industry experience
