Job description

Nextlink is seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior IT Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of complex technology initiatives across the organization. This role is responsible for managing the full project lifecycle, from project initiation and planning through execution, governance, delivery, and closure. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse, global teams and drive business-focused technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Delivery

  • Develop project charters, roadmaps, business cases, and detailed delivery plans aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Initiate and manage project setup activities, ensuring compliance with defined governance frameworks and phase-gate requirements.
  • Lead projects through the complete lifecycle, delivering outcomes on time, within budget, and within approved scope.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively address risks, issues, dependencies, and resource constraints.
  • Manage change requests and ensure appropriate impact assessments, approvals, and implementation plans.

Stakeholder & Governance Management

  • Develop and execute comprehensive project communication and stakeholder engagement plans.
  • Provide regular status reporting and performance updates to sponsors, steering committees, leadership teams, and key stakeholders.
  • Define, track, and report project success criteria, KPIs, and business outcomes.
  • Facilitate governance forums, workshops, project reviews, and steering committee meetings.
  • Build strong relationships with business leaders, technical teams, vendors, and external partners.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead, motivate, and coordinate cross-functional project teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing, and inclusive team environment.
  • Demonstrate strong intercultural awareness and communication skills when working across geographically dispersed and culturally diverse teams.
  • Collaborate closely with business and IT subject matter experts to ensure solutions meet organizational requirements and strategic goals.

Process Excellence & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to organizational project management standards, policies, processes, and governance requirements.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management methodologies, frameworks, templates, and best practices.
  • Support the Project Management Community by promoting standards, metrics, and process optimization initiatives.
  • Maintain appropriate project documentation and audit readiness throughout the project lifecycle.



Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in IT Project Management and/or Program Management roles.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering large-scale, complex IT programs and projects.
  • Professional project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP), or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, and related platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and influence decision-making across all organizational levels.
  • Excellent risk management, planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with professional proficiency in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading Information Security, ISMS, Cybersecurity, ITSM, or Governance-related implementation projects.
  • Experience presenting project updates, strategic plans, and executive summaries to senior leadership and C-level executives.
  • Knowledge of regulatory, compliance, and governance frameworks relevant to enterprise IT environments.
  • Experience within the Energy, Utilities, Commodities Trading, or Related Industries is advantageous.
  • Ability to operate effectively at both strategic and operational levels with a proactive, hands-on approach.
