.NET / Azure Engineer

Core Backend Engineering

• Advanced proficiency in one or more backend languages (e.g. C#/.NET )
• Strong understanding of object‐oriented and/or functional design principles
• Design and implementation of scalable, maintainable backend services
• Deep experience with API design (REST, OpenAPI, versioning, backwards compatibility)
• Strong grasp of error handling, retries, idempotency, and resilience patterns

2. Cloud Architecture & Azure Platform Expertise

• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Azure PaaS services , including:
  • Azure App Service / Container Apps / AKS
  • Azure Functions (event‐driven and durable patterns)
  • Azure Service Bus, Event Grid, Event Hubs
  • Azure Storage (Blob, Queue, Table)

3. Data & Persistence

• Advanced experience with relational databases (e.g. SQL Server, Azure SQL) including:
  • Query optimisation
  • Indexing strategies
  • Transaction management
• Hands‐on experience with NoSQL data stores , particularly Cosmos DB
  • Partition strategy design
  • Consistency models
• Experience with data access abstraction patterns and ORMs
• Understanding of data integrity, migration, and schema evolution

4. Security & Compliance Engineering

• Secure API and service design including:
  • OAuth2 / OpenID Connect
  • Managed identities
• Knowledge of Azure AD / Entra ID integration patterns
