ETL QA Engineer with GoldenSource platform

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform ETL testing and validate data migration, transformation, and loading processes.
• Develop and execute SQL queries for data validation and reconciliation.
• Validate source-to-target mappings and business transformation rules.
• Perform end-to-end testing of data warehouse and reporting applications.
• Work closely with ETL developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand requirements.
• Conduct data quality checks, regression testing, and defect tracking.
• Validate GoldenSource data feeds, workflows, and data integration processes.
• Prepare test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and test execution reports.
• Identify, log, and track defects using tools like JIRA or ALM.
• Support UAT and production validation activities.

Required Skills:

• 5+ yrs of experience in ETL Testing and Data Warehouse Testing.
• Hands-on experience with GoldenSource platform.
• Strong SQL knowledge with experience in complex queries and data validation.
• Experience in source-to-target data validation and reconciliation testing.
• Knowledge of financial data domains will be an added advantage.
• Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, Ab Initio, Talend, or SSIS.
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux commands.
• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools like JIRA, HP ALM, or Quality Center.
• Good understanding of SDLC and STLC processes.

Preferred Skills:

• Exposure to automation testing in ETL environments.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum projects.
• Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms is an added advantage.
