Senior QA Engineer

Senior QA Engineer | Remote | LATAM

Kwan is looking for a Senior QA Engineer to help establish and drive a strong quality assurance process for a growing technology team.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to take ownership of the QA process, define testing strategies, improve test coverage, and help build a solid foundation for both manual and automated testing.

What You'll Do

• Own and drive the QA process, including manual and automated testing.
• Design and maintain comprehensive test coverage, with a strong focus on data consistency, accuracy, and correctness.
• Develop and maintain structured test cases and test tracking using tools such as Testiny, TestRail, or similar.
• Perform thorough API testing and validation.
• Work alongside development teams to integrate QA effectively into existing development and CI processes.
• Identify potential quality risks and recommend improvements to testing strategies and processes.
• Take ownership of QA decisions and confidently communicate testing approaches and recommendations.

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of professional QA experience, preferably across multiple organizations or products.
• Strong experience with data validation, data integrity, and correctness testing.
• Solid experience testing REST APIs and integrations.
• Experience with manual and automated testing.
• Familiarity with PHP/Laravel or similar backend technologies is a plus.
• Experience with test management tools such as Testiny, TestRail, or similar.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Highly self-directed, organized, and comfortable taking ownership of QA processes.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
