The Opportunity:

SNC, a division of CACI, is seeking a Director of Product Development to lead product strategy, development execution, and lifecycle advancement for the Archon platform - a secure communications portfolio built on the NSA Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) program and deployed across DoD and the Intelligence Community.

Archon includes secure gateways, site-to-site connectivity, hardened end user devices, and management software for mission-critical use in complex operational environments. This role translates mission and customer requirements into product direction, guides development across the portfolio, and leads an organization of approximately 30 personnel.

This is not a traditional commercial product role; it requires technical depth, product leadership, mission understanding, and executive presence.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the product development lifecycle across the Archon portfolio - requirements through development, deployment, and sustainment.

  • Translate mission and customer requirements into prioritized product plans, technical requirements, and roadmap decisions.

  • Lead and develop an organization of approximately 30 personnel, including managers - goal setting, performance management, coaching, and succession planning.

  • Establish priorities, operating rhythms, and accountability to ensure strong execution and mission responsiveness.

  • Provide senior leadership across engineering, cybersecurity, manufacturing, program, and partner organizations.

  • Guide technical direction for CSfC architectures, IPsec, firewall design, enclave segregation, endpoint hardening, and multi-enclave integration.

  • Drive alignment with NSA CSfC requirements and compliance expectations; support RMF, ATO, STIG, and CCI activities.

  • Engage customers and operational users to validate needs and refine priorities, and represent the product line in briefings, partner engagements, and industry forums. Integrate OEM, COTS, and third-party technologies into hardened solutions and manage strategic partner relationships.

  •  Provide executive-level communication on roadmap status, risks, tradeoffs, and investment rationale.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, cybersecurity, information systems, or related field; equivalent experience considered.

  • 12+ years in secure communications, tactical networking, cybersecurity, mission systems, or DoD/IC product development.

  • Demonstrated success leading complex product development in secure, regulated, or mission-critical environments.

  • Demonstrated experience leading large cross-functional technical organizations of comparable scale.

  • Strong knowledge of NSA CSfC, NIAP, RMF, ATO, and related accreditation frameworks.

  • Deep understanding of IPsec, firewall architecture, enclave segregation, secure networking, and device hardening.

  • Familiarity with OEM infrastructure and networking technologies (Dell, Cisco, SonicWall, VMware, Aruba).

  • Strong executive communication skills, including senior government officials and corporate leadership.

  • Active Secret clearance required.

Desired:

  • Master's degree in relevant technical or business discipline.

  •  Prior military service or direct support to operational military or combatant command environments.

  • Experience fielding solutions for forward-deployed, DDIL, or air-gapped environments.

  • Familiarity with DoDIN APL and STIG/CCI libraries.

  • Experience supporting NSA CSfC registration, test planning, or test annex execution.

  • Active TS/SCI is highly desirable.

  • Experience productizing integrated hardware/software solutions for government customers.

  • Experience with product positioning or portfolio-level investment planning.

  • Experience mentoring managers and building high-performing technical teams.
